Does the Moolah scammer count? I don't think he's been caught and sentenced yet for the Bitcoins he stole but he might have a court order against him for something. I haven't heard anything since he went on the run.
I'm not sure what his real name is because he changed it a number of times.

We'll reserve this thread for only users who've been sentence and are pending litigation oppose to merely tagged as scammers. Feel free to list any persons arrested whom have a user account on this forum even if said account is only of their entity's name. I've add their particulars to the "Pending" section in the OP.

The DPR/altoid case should really be in pending as the case is likely going to be heard by an appellate court (and I would be surprised if it is not heard by the Supreme Court). You souks probably also add the SilkRoad account to the DPR entry as this account is most likely owned by Ross (assuming you can conclude that he is in fact DPR).

Owch, interesting thread, I will follow this avidly. Can't believe those guys used to post here regularly, feels weird. I imagine that list will grow, hopefully Karpeles is added to it at some point in the future. Because this place is fairly anonymous you have to do something pretty damn serious for the feds to bother chasing you down.

Why? He's been prosecuted and sentenced to life regardless of appeals which he'll probably be doing for the next decade of his life probably all with no success at all. He's likely to rot in prison now. Did Blake Benthall have an account here? I guess it's likely.

You obviously know nothing of law. While an appeal may be filed, it is VERY likely to produce nothing. They don't go and start the case over. They only consider whether mistakes were made. Ross will argue mistakes occurred - then the judge will laugh in his face. Really, there is a 100% chance of no change to his outcome. This notion that an appeal will come and the case can be reheard by a new judge is hilarious. Ross is finished. Done. That story is told. Life - without parole. He will never get out.

That's how harsh the judiciary system is. Even though he has no chance in winning this case, I still hope he would only receive the minimum sentence for the crimes he made.

dafuq I didn't knew that Silk road creator is a Bitcoin member , how did you find out that it's really his profile and not someone faking it anyway ? It could be anyone , right The FBI found it out. He was dumb enough to register certain accounts under his personal email address. That accpount was also the first person to mention or promote Silk Road. Ross was brought down by good old fashioned detective work but had he not made some silly mistakes he might not be in the position he is now.

Haven't there been a few low-level scammers arrested because of their scams on users here? Sure I've seen a few but it was a while ago. I'm sure many more will be arrested over time, especially ponzi scammers.

Also pending, Micon: - Micon
- Bryan Micon
- SealsWithClubs.eu
- One count of operating an unlicensed interactive gaming system
- Territory: Nevada
Hello SwC faithful: I'm sure you have seen the news today. (yup, after a quick scroll up, you have seen the news) First off, SwC will continue as is. I am going to step back for an undetermined amount of time and deal with this legal matter. The personal safety of myself and my family is first and foremost to me. This is a very serious matter. I'll update you when I can. you will be left in good hands with ST7. I have all trust in them. Technologically I expect the project to continue forward on the path described. As always, all funds secure. I have retained top legal representation in Nevada. This is going to deplete my funds rather quickly, and they only take fiat so I'm asking for fiat donations here: http://gofund.me/t7q32awand bitcoin donations in the first comment of this Reddit are also appreciated at this extremely tough time: http://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/34759e/bryan_micons_legal_defense_on_gofundme_bitcoin/

This notion that an appeal will come and the case can be reheard by a new judge is hilarious. Ross is finished. Done. That story is told. Life - without parole. He will never get out. It doesn't matter what his chances are (statically). As long as an appeal has not yet been rejected, there is the possibility that the case could get overturned. You could also make your same argument prior to trial by saying that the evidence against Ross is so strong that there would be no way that he would be found not guilty. The reason that cases are so rarely changed by the appeals process is that it is relatively uncommon for courts to make mistakes when it comes to the interpretation of the law. With that being said there is probably more constitutional protections that are given by supreme court rulings then what is spelled out in the constitution.
