What can you do with slime? I'm just curious as I never imagined this.

And the shells? What are the uses of shells?

What is more profitable? The food part?

The shells are a excellent source of calcium as I recall. 

Most profitable part of the market I've seen thus far is the breeders and the pet markets.  My snails currently aren't priced for the food market.  I could be though... just seems like a lot of leg work for a 1 man band.  Having fun with my stupid little snail business is first and for most.  As long as I can beat the pet rock in the next 40 years I'll be fairly happy.  The FEDS have been looking at deregulating state to state snail movement... if they would do that and leave the heavy restrictions about importing snails into the country *cha ching*!  I could sell $10,000 worth of snails with my eyes closed and constipated if I could ship across state lines without worry of a $6.5 million dollar fine.

I still have no idea how these are allowed to be mailed.

We use USPS because Fedex won't carry them .

The key is using the 275 # bursting strength corrugated & shipping only on Monday or Tuesday because you don't want to run the risk of a package sitting in a sorting facility over the weekend... because that's how you get dead snails!

IL was one of the states that we were hoping to see deregulate snail movement!

I would just hate to have to live my life looking over my shoulder due to fucking snails!! This was just a hobby that I started and it kinda started to do its own thing.

We are actually working on trying to have Helix Aspersa deregulated.

There is a really solid chance of that happening in the near future (at least for a handful of states.)

We intend on shipping international with the same business plan as we imply in the states.  We only ship from within the county that the order is place.

I actually got a Federal warning for shipping snails across state lines because I started my company when the FEDS turned off their website, but the Post Office says that you can ship snails.

If the company fucks up again I could face a $6.5 million dollar fine.

They tried to put my little snail business out of business, so we altered the business plan through the regulations.  Long run them stomping on the escargot industry in the USA will be wonderful for me... just snail business is slow business.
