My Bitcoin Address utility can generate Namecoin addresses.

Companies claiming they got hacked and lost your coins sounds like fraud so perfect it could be called fashionable.  I never believe them.  If I ever experience the misfortune of a real intrusion, I declare I have been honest about the way I have managed the keys in Casascius Coins.  I maintain no ability to recover or reproduce the keys, not even under limitless duress or total intrusion.  Remember that trusting strangers with your coins without any recourse is, as a matter of principle, not a best practice.  Don't keep coins online. Use paper or hardware wallets instead.

Nope it just generates namecoin addresses from private keys so you can make paper wallets and hold nmc long term and nothing more. Who knows if namecoind even supports private key import.

I've used Ufasoft Coin for a few months.  It stores BTC, LTC, and NMC.  Lately I've been having problems with it downloading the NMC block chain.  Has anyone else had the same problem?

Also, you can import and export keys using pywallet.

You can do what most people do and just mine directly to their Bitparking or BTC-E wallets.

Or modifies it so it becomes the backbone of .onion and .i2p domains, since these services actually have a meaningful need for domain name service, whereas the majority of the world considers the system we have now to be more-or-less adequate.

I registered an account on Vircurex, but I can't see anywhere my NMC wallet adress.

At Vircurex, once you log in, click on the 'Accounts' link on the menu bar.
Scroll down the list of all the alt-currencies ( what they call "chains" ) to beside NMC and click on Generate address.
A deposit address will now show up for you to use to send namecoins to your Vircurex account.
You can just store your NMC there if you are planning on selling them right away.

You can also go to http://dot-bit.org/forum  to learn more about setting up a namecoin wallet on your local system.

It's NMC - that's an acceptable risk IMO  Kiss

I'm wondering if there is a Namecoin e-wallet account I can transfer it to so I can trade it or use it??
There seems to be slim pickings.
