what carrier is it currently locked to? and how much are you asking?

It is sim free/not locked to a carrier. It is iTunes locked, you can't unlock it.

hi Mobile was bought from a friend that has many electronic  and gadgets devices. The phone came with a contract movistar but was free because my friend has orange.

The phone works but I can not make calls or receive them.

Sounds like the phone has probably been blacklisted or blocked by Apple at the original owners request. There is a second market for these but their value are much lower than usual. Seeing as the iPhone 5 is already quite an older generation and you can buy fully functioning ones for a near price, I think you're asking price is quite a bit too high.

Yes there is a method but the price is about 100$..... and the success is not 100% guaranteed

ps : 150$ for iCloud locked phone is pretty high price.....
