In a nutshell: a gambling site that lets you be an investor in a raffle, as opposed to a coin toss!
A brief explanation:
Open Ocean – Lottery Dividends!
Our product is a combination of a raffle and a dividend-accruing stock certificate!
There are two accounts when you register/login: A Ticket Account, and an Equity Account.
If you fund your Ticket Account, Open Ocean will automatically place the bitcoin (BTC) from that account into an online raffle
- Each dollar’s worth of Bitcoin will represent one ticket!
• If for example 1 BTC = $100USD and you fund your Ticket Account with 1 BTC, you have effectively entered 100 tickets into the next available draw
• You cannot buy fractions of a raffle ticket
- The draw will happen once every day at 12:00PM Central European Time!
- The winning ticket will win the BTC used to purchase all the other entered tickets, minus 15%
• 3% will be paid out to Raffle Stockholders
• 3% will be paid out to the operators of the site
• 9% will be accrued to be made available for the Mega Jackpot!
If you fund the Equity Account, Open Ocean will be using the bitcoin in your Equity Account to send you a fraction of each raffle’s winnings!
- The total dividend each raffle draw pays out will be 3%
- Each $100 dollar’s worth of Bitcoin will represent one Raffle Stock!
• If, for example, 1 BTC = $100USD and you fund your Equity Account with 1 BTC, you have effectively bought 1.0 Raffle Stock
• Dividends accrue indefinitely until you withdraw your Raffle Stock!
• You can purchase fractions of a Raffle Stock (i.e. 0.1 Stock for $10 USD worth of BTC)
- Your portion of the Raffle Stockholder payout (3%) will be determined by how much Stock your Equity Account is funded with, relative to the total Stock in all Equity Accounts
• If you and another party each own 1 Stock, and these 2 Stock represent all the Stock in all Equity Accounts, you will each receive 1.5% (half) of the daily raffle dividend (= 3%/2)
• If you and two other parties own 1 Stock each, and these 3 stock make up all the Stock in all Equity Accounts, you will receive 1.0% (one third) of the daily raffle (= 3%/3)
• The number of parties owning Stock, and the number of each account’s Stock will vary!
Cashing out Stock from an Equity Account will charge the individual account holder 3%
- This 3% fee will go back into the draw for the next day’s raffle as consideration for the 3% subtracted from daily raffles which were originally divided among Stockholders
The Mega-Jackpot takes 9% of each draw and accumulates it in a secondary account
- It is activated (won) when the users selects a randomly generated number between 1 and 31 which is prompted to them upon winning the daily draw
• If the wrong number is selected, the Mega Jackpot further accumulates!
• This way there should be a Mega Jackpot winner roughly once every month!
The owners of the site take 3% of each draw to maintain service and expand the business
- Ideally we want to make people wealthier every day!
• Whether that be by rewarding a risk taker (in what we dream becomes a global raffle), or by paying out dividends 365 times a year (in what we dream becomes the greatest stock ever issued!)
This system of reward-to-risk is vastly superior to those of existing lotteries!
- In many state-issued lotteries, the reward-to-risk ratio is based on a formula of 49 choose 7
• Your chances of winning are literally (7/49) * (6/48) * (5/47) * (4/46) * (3/45) * (2/43) * (1/42)
• This is equivalent to 1 in 81,996,012
- If your prize is $50,000,000, assuming each ticket is $1, your reward-risk-ratio would still be 61 cents on each dollar
• Most tickets are $2 to $3, which makes your reward-to-risk two to three times smaller (30 to 20 cents on the dollar!)
- Furthermore, Open Ocean guarantees a winner EVERY DAY @ 12:00PM CET!
• This is because our lottery is a global RAFFLE, someone HAS TO WIN!
- Because Bitcoin is a global affair, the only thing restricting daily jackpots of immense proportion is the number of users!
