All those VC investments you see? All that money pouring into bitcoin or Bitcoin or the blockchain? All those captains of industry vying to maintain their dominance?
That money.
It's going to react when shit gets hot. It's going to warm as opportunities arise. It's going to motherfucking explode when the time comes for profits to be taken.
It is clear to me now. Venture Capitalists are going to pump the living shit out of Bitcoin when the time comes for their exit.
-That is all. Please grab a snack at the back. You had a question? A comment?

Seems that maybe you have some insider info, care to share? We're reaching a stage in which a huge amount of money is needed to mvoe markets throughout exchanges, and where manipulation occurs everyday... I'm not sure those guys could "pump" and "crash" Bitcoin so easily...

10/10 for thread title, amused me to the max I think will happen at some point but have given up making predictions with bitcoin, been dropping and stagnant for well over a year I predicted it could be. so it could go sideways, up to moon in steps or lose half value in coming months. the best place imo to be right now is in a few select alts. most are scum, but there are a few absolute gems. I am not mentioning any names do your own homework bitches

Stuff like the Bitlicense will attract new money, the more regulation & acceptance by authoritative figures/institutions that bitcoin receives the more confident people will be about investing their money. We need old school investors to come in & I believe they will. People will see the ridiculous returns they can get by investing in bitcoin & when they do they'll come in ready to pump the shit out of this market.

we all know that, the real question is when all that will happen, so we can start to buy in bulk before it happen, without the worry that we are still scratching the bottom
i hope that by then bitcoin will not drop too much, or the recover will be tough even with the right massive investments

It's all about how to deploy capital. Venture Capital deploys capital to build companies because it's what they know best makes them money. When it comes time for their holdings to be appraised and sold, that's when they may find a relatively small investment in the underlying asset, which Bitcoin companies values are largely based on, is the best way to make them more money. Is Coinbase worth more when Bitcoin is a $50B market cap or $500B market cap? How many $$ actually have to flow into Bitcoin to affect that change in market cap?
Thanks for liking the title. I've been thinking about it for a week.

The Venture Capital Secret: 3 Out of 4 Start-Ups Fail
It looks so easy from the outside. An entrepreneur with a hot technology and venture-capital funding becomes a billionaire in his 20s.
But now there is evidence that venture-backed start-ups fail at far higher numbers than the rate the industry usually cites.
About three-quarters of venture-backed firms in the U.S. don't return investors' capital, according to recent research by Shikhar Ghosh, a senior lecturer at Harvard Business School. Source: http://www.wsj.com/articles/SB10000872396390443720204578004980476429190

I agree. The VC money that will pour in will turn Bitcoins on fire.

Guido that is exactly what I thought when I saw the thread title.
I don't know if it will be specifically VC but it seems obvious to me that money will come pouring in at some point. Banks, individuals, investors, hedge funds, who knows. There stands a good chance to see a full blown bubble some time in the near future. I only hope that we have a few years first so I can accumulate some more bitcoins. I didn't really get in until the price when up so I am not holding very many of them.

There are a shift taking place now... previously people invested in building Bitcoin business... now everyone is concentrating on the new buzzword ---> Blockchain technology. Have a close look at the Bitcoin wannabe Alt coins, with built in features to adhere to government regulations {KYC/AML} --> We all know who they are. When you see a lot of VC investment and development into these Alt coins, you will know which horse to bet on. They will milk Bitcoin to the end, and then jump ship to a NEW refurbished boat. The rest will go down with the Titanic.

I don't know, I get the feeling that big money is not all that interested in pumping bitcoins. I think that these guys are used to traditional investments and would not really understand cryptos. So they avoid things that they don't understand. I might be wrong but I think the big money will stay right where it is.

Bitcoin exploding at 'some point' is a no brainer. Personally I think it will be a collapse of major currencies that will wake people up. Obviously no.1 being the dollar which is as we speak is in a process of collapse.

It is not a "no brainer". We've had two surges in the past. The history tends to repeat itself, and another one might be coming. Although this isn't really good since stable growth is much more preferred than sudden spikes. The media has quite the influence over a good % of the population. We can deny this all we want but they could ignite the next Bitcoin pump easily. So the dollar increasing in value means that it is in the process of collapse? Elaborate. Yeah, if you think that VC investments measured in thousands of dollars can stand against the millions being fueled in Bitcoin. Stop the altcoin propaganda, it won't be happening. you do realise that VCs and Wall Street don't enter the game to make you money Correct, however you can make money if you play your cards right.
