As a Canadian citizen, my only viable choice for purchasing BTC from an exchange seems to be Cavirtex. They have high fees but still offer btc cheaper than the others (including localbtc)

I still worry that they are small enough and amateurish enough that they would be a prime target for hackers and thieves, i feel it is only a matter of time before we hear "Cavirtex hacked, all de coins be goned! sorry guise!"

I use cavirtex with caution, and try to get in and out real fast, seems to work ok....UNTIL TODAY

bought ~ a btc then COULD NOT WITHDRAW....WITHDRAWALS DISABLED! after following some confusing instructions to add a default withdrawal addy and email them confirmation I sit and wait. This is bullshit for a few reasons. ONE: why so easy to add default addy? no 2fauth... there should be, there should be 2fauth at every action...these guys want to get robbed methinks.

TWO: why do I only find out withdrawals are a problem when I try to withdraw?Huh?? this should be in a bold banner on every page, even before you log in. Something is fishy.

I haven't given up hope, I will get my btc out, but i may not use the cavirtex exchange ever again.

clean up yr act cavirtex, this aint kindergarten
