Hey, so I made : http://dexontech.net/webminer/
Its basically using a known javascript bitcoin miner that I turned into a faucet. People coming on this page won't mine on their own wallet address but will receive, at the end of the week, the amount of bitcoin they mined based on their hashrate once its passed a certain minimal cashout amount.

Features:
-Referred url can be place on iframe to turn your visitors into hashrate.
-Can refer friends and get 100% of what they mine with their own hashrate.
-More opened page = more hashrate (depending on your browser and cpu)
-Can connect with your bitcoin address
-Amount of winning btc per weeks are shown in live at the bottom of your page.

Note that being referred won't get you less hashrates.

I would like to get some feedback on this. What people thinks about this.
This is still in beta, just simply trying this for fun, etc. Expect some updates, minor downtime, and stuff.
Also, I know that mining in kH/s won't ever gives anything but thats why I put up the referrer system.

Nice project. I think, it is better to try mining Scrypts with Khs. That would benefit you and your users. GooD Luck Smiley

These have been around for years ... but it's still a scam.

The cost to mine in your browser is probably 1000x the BTC you'd ever get.

Some sites, years ago, would add these on to anyone who visited the site - basically just as bad as a bot net - but even worse now coz it will make absolutely nothing.

100MHs will currently expect to take ~65 thousand years to find a block ... if the difficulty never rose ...

Though it is impossible to earn any reasonable bitcoin with this project but I still give the OP some credits, as someone have said it could be worthwhile if it can mine based on your own chosen cryptocurrencies and not a fixed coin. For example I can choose to mine Dogecoin or any other algo with less difficulty. I hope you understand my opinion and if you can achieve this contact via PM and I will give you 100 members for free.

Maybe with a very big number of members like a one million could work.

Edit: Honestly I dont know idea behind of thread, But anyway who did thread could give more information to resolve any doubt.

Why - help a newbie understand. You`ve got your computer on anyhow, why would it cost to run this?

But even if you did this, would it be any worse than using faucets, or almost the same thing?

what if this was promoted on autosurf traffic?

Looking for a signature campaign.

Would you include the truth prominently on the web site?

That truth being:

"Hey everyone who visits this site:

If you are using a mobile phone, we'll run your battery flat real fast and generate next to nothing even if hundreds of thousands of you do that.
The great mobile phone bot net that doesn't even make the bot net owner anything.

If you are using a desktop computer, we'll run up your electricity bill by about 1,000,000x the amount we'll make out of you.
Lets hope we can get together a 1,000,000 PC bot net so we can make a few $ a day."

Just because I wanted to know, I went and signed up. At the regular kH/s (18-20) the site says you will earn .00000000 per week. If you turn up the settings to 600+ kH/s, you will earn .00000004 per week - so that would be 4 satoshis for 1 week`s work. When I turned it up as high as it would go, it just froze my pc.

Needless to say, I closed it down.

No need to hit enter when entering you bitcoin address. The page will refresh by it self and every satoshi mined will be stick to that bitcoin address on the database.
Since recommended fees are 0.0001 btc, you'd need to mine more than 10000 btc per week at a stable mining speed during the whole week to get the mined satoshi sent to your address.

Besides, if when entering your bitcoin address on the connect menu and it don't refresh the page, verify that you didn't missed typed it. Page will refresh directly when valid btc address is entered.
Either way, if you don't have more than 10 000 computer to keep this page opened on your referal link, i wouldn't recommend to use it. You would most likely not be able to mine even 1 satoshi a day without a decent amount of referrals.

I salute you in doing this kind of project and feel Disappointment for the jealousy of the host.
I think this might work if many participate, I would love to try this and I think it is like a leveraged scheme
or something like that, but for the record thumbs up for your effort!  Wink
