Removing Announcement Threads?

Why are the moderators here removing Announcements? I have commented on the GotFOMO Thread and now iuts been removed, this is the second time this has happened, has anyone else seen this happening?

Depends on what you Post, posts with 'low quality' content i. E only a few words etc will be deleted

I think it may have had something to do with their Proof Of Burn (post your best "your momma" joke) competition.

I sent him a whole bunch via pm instead of posting them publicly because I thought mods would find something inappropriate and delete the thread. Apparently he posted the whole list in thread (I don't blame him, pretty hilarious if I toot my own horn) and the mods must have found it distasteful enough to kill the whole ann thread.

would be better if announcement thread is moderated by admin, or might be better if a new coin got reviewed first by the admin
