I'm always wary of local transactions for BTC.   You risk losing not only your BTC but also whatever you have the BTC stored on.   If I bring my laptop to a deal, what are the chances that doesn't get taken too.

No there's  differences between a regular robbery and a bitcoin robbery .I'm glad to hear they seller weren't injured


The robber could be visiting bitcointalk right now... Scary thought.

It will be safer if we just do online transaction. This news be warning sign to us when do transaction in public. The other way in making transaction is do it in crowded place like cafe, market, etc. Be careful guys.
i agree but i must say i never thought it may come to this how foolish and greedy to rip someone off of bitcoins, i know they are valuable and all but this has gone too far

If you're gonna transact with anyone you met online, it's always best to do it in a public location with lots of eyes.
