Ok, looking forward to your response. As a general rule, security thru obscurity doesn't work well and I think a full description of this class of exploit should be published by someone with the technical knowledge to do so. Otherwise, you WILL see more of it in the wild.

So is it fair comment to say that this area of code in most scrypt coins is pretty standard and a coin dev would have little reason to change it ?

This leaves us to conjecture why the coin distribution looks the way it does. That's unusual … you'd expect to see it all dumped/distributed to a large number of addresses but you don't.
