I recently made a coinbase account. In order to purchase my first bit coins I will need to wait about 4 days for them to go into my account.
Is there a website where I can quickly purchase some bit coins with my debit card and then transfer it to my wallet at coinbase?
Thanks for the help guys

For faster delivery it is better to use www.100bit.co.in / www.LocalBitcoins.com. CoinBase, BitStamp etc. are for trading purpose.

Since you are using Coinbase, I am assuming you are in the US. If you are in any of these states: AL, AR, CT, FL, GA, ID, KY, ME, MI, MN, MS, NE, NJ, ND, OR, RI, SD, and WY, AZ, CA, DE, IN, KS, MA, MO, MT, NM, NV, PA, SC, TX, UT, and WV; I believe that you should be able to use trucoin ( www.trucoin.com) to buy Bitcoins with your debit card. You could also see if there is a Bitcoin ATM in the area and buy with cash or you could try localbitcoins ( www.localbitcoins.com). There aren't many exchanges that accept Credit or Debit though since it can be charged back.

Yes. You would need to have them send the bitcoins to your deposit address on Coinbase. However, that address changes for each deposit, so be careful. Another thing, Coinbase is NOT A WALLET. I would recommend against using it as a wallet, only to buy and sell Bitcoins. I would recommend that you download a wallet such as Bitcoin Core (if you want to be a node), Multibit, or electrum to your computer instead to keep your Bitcoins safe.

The following link gives details of most of the Bitcoin wallets available. Multibit and electrum wallets are both good choices. https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Bitcoin is just too complicated for people to use safely. It needs to be as simple as, here's your debit card, make a PIN number, now go to a store and start buying shit.

I don't know how to answer your question, but since you're new, here's a piece of advice: after you buy your coins, don't put them in an online wallet Yes, because the coins will be safer in a computer full of malwares if they not in a web wallet

From what I found when looking into funding my account, if you use cc or debit it is faster but you pay a much higher transaction %. There are lots of places to do this it is jsut a matter of how much you want to spend. Personally I had no problem waiting for coinbase to get my bank transfer, even if it did take about a week. After that I could zip the coins around to where ever I wanted to, so it is only the initial wait that is painful.

Just a little thing about CoinBase, it may be the go-to choice for buying Bitcoin, but it isn't all that great.

OP you should try circle is much faster, and still i can't understand why people can't make a purchcase here on the market, is one of the faster way to get your coins, just deal with trusted member and none else

Something such as a usb drive, or paper wallet can be really good on security if used right. There are times you need a hot wallet, just don't use them as your main storage.

Hi, why do you say it is not that great? What exchange would you suggest in stead, and why? I think coinbase is ok for turning fiat into bitcoins, but for everything else I use other exchanges like bittrex. Do you mean that the wallet is not secure, or maybe the exchange rates are not good? I used it because it was pretty low cost to transfer money compared to competitors. Thanks.

Try BTCe out. You can fund your account with an international wire transfer. They are really easy to use and have never asked me for any verification info.

Ok, so you don't like giving them info. That makes sense. They have to because they are based in the usa. I bought some litecoins on BTC-e and I was perfectly satisfied with their service. I like that exchange more than coinbase, I only used coinbase because of the low transfer fee. From what I read the rates on a money wire were much higher. Thanks.

You can deposit with credit card on www.btc-e.com, and then you can buy bitcoin, and then you will be able to transfer it on your coinbase wallet. Please, check that BTC-e have an high fee on deposit with credit card. Have a good luck !

You can buy using xmlgold.eu. Been using them since and never had any problems. There might be a few hours delays on first time customers but after that, they don't delay your orders anymore.

It would be better to use Perfect Money or Okpay to fund your account if you don't care about being as anon as possible.
