https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnx8fp37M4vlFv3Rk_1sYLwHas anyone heard of the Bitcoin booty shake girls? If not, check out the link. Apparently some group of people is trying to promote bitcoin with wet t-shirt contests, sexy videos, and other acts of young desire? I'm not surprised it exists. I'm surprised I haven't heard of it yet. Sex DOES sell...almost anything. I hope it works.

Not a great success, if you ask me. They uploaded those tons of videos almost 8 months ago, and a majority of them are yet to surpass 1,000 views. Their most popular video is just having 25,236 views. Sex DOES sell... but you should market it nicely. If the marketing tactics are bad, then the desired effect will not be achieved in the end.

^^^ This. A good salesman can sell a fridge to an eskimo. So, sex sells if you know how to sell it.

-snip- Sex DOES sell...almost anything. I hope it works.
The problem is that this is mostly appealing to dicks in more than one sense of the word. If you want people that are not dicks and/or teenage boys to take bitcoin seriously you should focus on something different. Before anyone gets offended by that statement I see no problem with the videos or the idea behind it, but it will not get bitcoin anywhere it is not already. Paying people on webcams is already possible with bitcoin, adding weet t-shirts and begging for donations is nothing new.

Bitcoin doesn't need sex to sell, it sells itself. That being said, I do think the sex industry could really benefit from bitcoin. I think it's only a matter of time before they get involved. -snip- Sex DOES sell...almost anything. I hope it works.

Well dicks are still people and they still help bitcoin adoption regardless of how immature they are but people are going to try use or exploit bitcoin any way they can because its just another way to make money for some people.

What if the Bitcoin-payment processors refuse to cater to the porn websites? I have heard that the Bitpay has turned down a number of requests from porn websites, along with similar requests from merchants dealing with legal Marijuana (in Colorado) and those dealing with pharmaceuticals. We need more and more payment processors, as currently Bitpay and Coinbase are monopolizing the market.

Just sell the coins on an exchange yourself. However, I'm sure there will be a payment processor that will deal with them eventually.

It is probably a demand from the share holders though, as they are basically in charge.

Doesn't make sense. I think Paypal do this as well. Couldn't websites just accept bitcoin directly and use their own bots to cash out the coins to an exchange automatically?

Sex is the one of oldest trades known to man. It will always sell. I don't care what gets traded with bitcoin, all I care is that bitcoin continues to grow & the price increases. I'd sell my Grandmother into slavery for bitcoin to reach 10,000 USD Money rules the world, we all want to be rich so does anybody really care if bitcoin grows using things like sex to do it? Money has no morals.

With a little help of sex marketing you are able to raise you sells and awareness of your products. But I doubt that bitcoin developers, entrepreneur and enthusiasts are mature and tactful enough to make it work. From what I could see these commercials are simply bad and would bring more harm than good. Bitcoin will be associated with another 'bad stereotype'. Do we really need that?

Weak hands have been complaining about missing out ever since bitcoin was $1 and never buy the dip. Whales are those who keep buying the dip.

If you search for that on youtube... you get much better content for free... Why would people pay for that, if they get it FREE? They tried something and it failed. Their goal was not to promote Bitcoin... It was to capitalize on a opportunity to get money. In the previous thread on this subject, I highlighted the reasons, why we should not associate Bitcoin with this type of publicity, so I am not going to go into that again here. For the previous thread, go here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1081121.0

They are forced to say no, due to various reasons which are beyond their control. For example, the banks, which are processing the fiat payments for Bitpay will freeze their savings / current accounts, if they deal with porn websites (remember that the same had happened to merchants dealing with legal recreational marijuana in the state of Colorado).

But Cannabis different. That's illegal on a federal level, sex or porn isn't so I can't see any justification why they can't deal with adult sites. Adult sites must have bank accounts too and lets not forget its a billion dollar industry so some banks must be working with them.

to popularize the use of bitcoin this is very nice, but should not because it will make people think that the use bitcoin only for activities that are negative.

I just stumbled upon the other, posted-fist thread about the booty girls today. Thanks.
