There are several different types of Bitcoin clients. The most secure are full nodes like Bitcoin Core, but full nodes are more resource-heavy, and they must do a lengthy initial syncing process. As a result, lightweight clients with somewhat less security are commonly used.

Buy 100 NMC and LTC, offer price in USD.
Pay by PayPal.

These never end well... A very GOOD percentage of "buy with paypal" deals are scams and the buyer cancels payments once he has coins in hand...

Stuff like this hurts BitCoin because with all the payment cancellations it's going to piss PayPal off and when they find out that it's a bitcoin scam they will throw money at whoever they need to throw money at to shut BitCoin down.

Maybe you're a scammer, maybe you're not, but a good rule of thumb is to avoid any deal involving the words "bitcoin" and "PayPal".

I see your account is also brand new, you wouldn't happen to be the user who was going by "thosecoins" yesterday from this thread (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=106045.0) would you...?

ESPECIALLY when sending money by paypal as a gift. That is a number one no-no especially with a brand new user who has ZERO credibility AND buying 100 coins, which for a scam is brilliant because you set up multiple people, get 100's of coins and either never send the money or cancel all the payments rendering your paypal account invalid while you now have thousands of dollars worth of bitcoins in your wallet.

The factors that matter in order to give you the best answer include:

 - Where are you located (country)?
 - How much are you looking to buy?
 - What payment methods do you have available?
 - How soon do you need access to the proceeds?
 - Is privacy important?

Quite simply, depositing cash at a bank or 7-11, Walmart, CVS is going to be the fastest and easiest way.

 - http://www.BitInstant.com (Deposit at major banks, 7-11, Walmart, CVS, Moneygram, etc., or in Brazil using Boleto or Banco Recomendito, or in Russia, using Qiwi or Cyberplat.)
 - http://www.CAVirtEx.com (Deposit cash at several banks)
 - http://www.Spendbitcoins.com (Deposit cash at a bank in Australia)
 - http://www.MrBitcoins.com (Deposit at a bank in U.S., India, Australia)
 - http://BitcoinNordic.com (Purchase CashU or UKash in dozens of countries)
 - http://www.BTC-E.com (Deposit cash (USD) at bank locations in Russia)

The fees aren't trivial but you can use a credit card to purchase by using VirWoX where you can buy SLL using your Serve card as a credit card, then trade SLL for BTC:

This probably does't help you if you are looking to spend the coins anytime soon, but you can buy physical Bitcoin, paid for with credit card:

Or find a local trade:
