unlucky me, i first missed the 1BTC Gold exemplar and then the 1BTC Silver groupbuy of mitchell. So i was forced to buy 3 pieces of the 1BTC silver which I now can not await. Think i will use one for a future hackathon price.

Question: On the maxfield-site it says "[limited edition of 250]". Is that true? Only 250 pcs are made of these,
and there will never be more???

Yes, it's a limited edition and there won't be anymore, ever. I hope you enjoy your Kialara's, they look so much better in person.

I would say that unfunded is better. Funded casascius coins are only worth something if casascius himself loaded them. I'm sure this applies to this product as well. Anyway, I keep mine unfunded and stored at a safe place.

For the collectors value it's better to keep unfunded.
This art is made to be unfunded because if you want to claim the btc you have to break/destroy the kialara to retreive the sealed pv key.

That he is a recognized artist. That's all they said. So I've been searching for news items and all that. I only found one on Digital Money Times, which is pretty strange, considering how nice these are. If you know any other big website that have mentioned Kialara or Max, do tell.

That is a pretty general blanket statement.
I recognize my kid is an artist, does that make it official?
You should ask them to prove that he is "not" an artist

I sent them his website, some extra pictures and more to proof that he is an artist, but well, apparently it was not enough. As they will pay for shipment, I'm going to stuff this letter full with screenshots, links, etc.

I've sent them a letter a few weeks ago, but I haven't received a response yet. I will call them later on today (was already planning on doing that).

Shit, I forgot to post that they said that they processed the letter and that is has been handed over to the customs. I requested another status update on Wednesday and they told me that they can't update me on the status of the request once it's been handed over to the customs and their processing time is three to four months, so I guess we'll have to wait it out.

The request has been handed over to the customs on 13-11-2015.

I don't think that's fair as some people paid more than others, but I would have to look at my Excel sheet first (to find out how I calculated the VAT in the first place).
