CardKaChing.com entered a beta mode today, which allows users to sell gift cards for bitcoin or cash.

Card merchants currently supported in our automated system include:

• Barnes & Noble
• Bass Pro Shops
• Bed Bath & Beyond
• Best Buy
• Home Depot
• Nordstrom
• Victoria's Secret
• Walmart

Note:  As protection against fraud / double spend we have implemented a Fraud Protection Profile, which includes entering a valid credit card. As part of the process of saving this separate profile the card will be charged $0.25 - $1.00, which is returned in your payout.  This ONE TIME process is required to ensure you are the valid owner of the card. We hope you understand.

Can you give us an idea on what rates you offer for buying?

The offers are based on two factors: 1) the going resell value of the given card to establish the dollar value and 2) to get the bitcoin offer, an aggregate of several bitcoin exchanges at the time an offer is made. A user has five minutes to accept a bitcoin or cash offer, otherwise, the offers expire. They can re-add the card to get an updated offer, if desired.

The $0.25 - $1.00 is a ONE TIME charge used to simply validate the credit card we have on file belongs to the user and can be used if the user commits double spend fraud.  This charge is not for every transaction.

Also, there is a $25 minimum balance required before an offer will be made.
