I was wondering if there is an app available that lets me know when a block is found by my mining pool? So for example, when a block is found by my pool I would get sent an alarm letting me know.

Bitcoin addresses contain a checksum, so it is very unlikely that mistyping an address will cause you to lose money.

Simply ask from your pool admin, but the simplest one is notification method that can trigger when a new block is found and it usually sends by email.
