It has been almost 72 hours now that blockchain.info receive API has stopped forwarding funds.

Here is the last official update from their end: https://twitter.com/blockchain/status/608278475259002880

Quote
We're investigating latency with our Receive Payments API at the moment. We apologize for any inconvenience this may be causing.

Why dont they implment the pay as you go model in their API and provide a better support. I dont think a serious app developer will have any issue in paying ~0.0001 BTC per Tx to use their receive API, but the API needs to be stable. It is the third time they are giving trouble in the first 10 days of the month of June ! Undecided

The whole blockchain.info site was offline not so long ago. I think they have a serious problem that they are trying to fix, but they are being hindered by the fact that they can't switch the site off for a long duration. That could be the reason for the API problems.

Could this be related to the ongoing flood attack on the blockchain? maybe it collapsed the website.

Maybe you are onto something there. The website must have a limit on the number of connections it can simultaneously support. I have tried to access it a number of times over the last year and got a message saying it had reached the maximum number connections possible and I would have to wait to connect.

I'm sure they'll sort it all out guys, they seem to be very honest & always endeavour to fix problems.
Many sites have gone bust & stolen user funds but whilst blockchain.info have suffered minor issues they always seem to resolve the issues.
Keep an eye on their twitter, they're quite good at interacting with their users @blockchain
https://mobile.twitter.com/blockchain

Edit - From reading their twitter it seems there is a delay with receiving funds through their payment API, the funds are taking longer than normal to be received but they WILL be received.

I dont think so. Their send api is working perfectly along with their normal functioning of block explorer.

One year ! What are you talking about ? I have been served pretty well by blokchain.info for last one year. They might have blacklisted your IP for some reason. Open a support request at blockchain.zendesk.com.

blockchain.info is a de facto name in the world of bitcoin with a backing from bitcoin Jesus Roger Ver. I dont doubt their intention. I'm merely saying that they could incorporate a paid model for their API and provide a stable service to paid users. We can not expect strong and stable service from a free service provider year after year.

It is supposed to forward some funds to those who are using blockchain.info receive API, which they are not doing for around 72 hours now.

I don't think I'm blacklisted because I occasionally got that error message for particular addresses. I occasionally got it for the Ethereum IPO address which I regularly checked to see if they had withdrawn more coins. That must have been a particularly popular address for people to view until it ran out of coins.

Just Blockchain is preparing to release an updated wallet. Due to this fact there may be problems.

They have been "having problems" for a year. They blocks are sometimes out of sync, wallets are unexpectably offline, keys for new addresses disappeared, just to name a few. My wallet is still with them and I trust them. But wouldn't use it for business or mission critical systems.

Any news on this?

They have started to forward funds. Still at a 48 hour lag. Get ready for a huge influx of Tx to flood the mempool.

I have 3 wallets at blockchain.info. I keep on trusting them because I understand they're making a dangerous business, and that many thieves/hackers want to break into other people's wallet, so I'm not surprised that they experience some down times.

I used to be a citizen and a taxpayer. Those days are long gone.

Just implementing bitcoin core on VPS does not provide all the features that blockchain.info API does. Moreover, running core securely is another headache, not to mention it'll fail many times in a month. Web devs generally prefer to avoid these app server retlated headaches.

This is a real bummer. Their receive payments API was the best service they offered in my opinion. More and more bad press for blockchain.info. Not sure what's going on over there but it's clear that they are having some serious issues lately.

I've thought about doing this but I haven't... how much are you paying per month for a VPS so you can accept bitcoin as a payment option?

They have a really good API, but as it is a free service you can't really complain about down situations

I have been getting these messages while looking up some address's taint analysis, i think that is a clue to what the real problem is
