I lost something ridiculous like 13 times in a row on dice. I was forunate to not have risked that much total. I would have been really unhappy if it was a lot more money. After that, I usually only bet a couple of satoshis initially when doing martingdale.

At start I was thinking maximum 10 negative can come and that worked too for me for a while.Later I saw I got even 12 negative and after that I won the bet.Since then I am sure in gambling nothing is 100% everything works till it breaks at some point. Now I am not in this thinking anymore I just place according to the game as few one side and few bets on other side.

If you're looking for a math answer... use this formula to find the odds: p = 1 - 0.505 ^ x and q = 1 - p where: "p" = is the odds that you win at least 1 time in "x" rolls "1" = 100% "x" = number of rolls "0.505" = is the odds that you lose each roll (you can change with your lose chance) "q" = is the odds that you bust after "x" rolls (you never won in "x" rolls) So, if you're playing at dice, like i think is , at 49.5% winning chance (and 50.5% you're losing)... which is your odds to bust after 20 rolls? p = 1 - 0.505 ^ 20 = 0.9999988363361 = 99.99988 % (you win at least 1 time in 20 rolls) q = 1 - p = 0.0000011636639 = 0.000116 % (you never won in 20 rolls... you BUST) it means that it happens one times every 1 / q = 859,354.662 Good luck

While I was playing at DaDice I had a streak of 7 losses then finally won ( at 50% odds ) , while I had even 10 + loosing streaks on other sites, Now I am playing at 90% chance and only had 2 losses in a row maximum till now. I lost something ridiculous like 13 times in a row on dice. I was forunate to not have risked that much total. I would have been really unhappy if it was a lot more money. 13 is really unlucky man , I am happy I never faced such

Once this happened to me too while I was playing I faced 15 loosing streak in a row and luckily the 16th streak brought not only my loosing amount but also some profit too. There is not any certain figure you can predict about expected loosing streaks but usually this is the range 9-16 loosing what most of the players face.

yeah and this is common if you play at 50% winning chance or less, while if you play over 66% win chance, its tough to loose 15+ bets in a row.

Biggest streak that i won would be: x1.5 multiplier and i won 19 in a row i think
and for loosing streaks with a win was x2 multiplier and it was 16-17 in a row i think

The biggest I have ever risked has been around 2.5 BTC on a martingale. And the strange thing is that the end bet I won wasn't a part of it. I was martingaling from 0.005 and was only part of a 1 or 2 bet series I did. I lost a total of 2.5 BTC and my next bet was supposed to be around 2.9 BTC, and I had only 0.4 in my account left after the last bet which was around 1.3. Luckily, just super luckily, I was frustated and went ahead to bet at 10x with the last 0.4 and hit over 90 instantly giving me 4 BTC. That was just an amazing streak I had had.

I never tried martingale because I have bad luck with that. I hear that sooner or later that you will lose. I have lost 5 bets in a row before on dice, 50%, so already that is getting pretty big for making a new bet.

I was once betting martingale-ish style at 5% and i kept loosing and loosing, increasing my bet size every 10 bets until i was about to lose everything, it was the last bet, everything or nothing and boom, won bet, that was quite an experience.

I actually used this system on a game called Kingdom of Loathing to bet against other players. Once it crapped out on me because I didn't have enough meat to back it up (meat is the in game currency). But the next time I tried it I went through about 5 mils meat to win. And the profit was so small that I decided that it was a waste of time lol.

You took math and explained it in such a way that just about anyone could understand it and more importantly even take notes and apply it. Very well said, Hura. I am taking note of your explanation and will use this to better understand probabilities. Thank you. Edit: And to speak to the OP but also tie in Hura's comment: I am currently observing two losing streaks of 22 out of about 214,000 rolls. So it may be mathematically correct that you should not expect to see such large loss streaks but the reality is that it can happen much sooner than once in 859K+ rolls. In my recent experience I've seen bigger losing streaks in one-quarter the amount of predicted rolls.
