I was planning to check the new Windows 10 even if it's a Preview only , however I was wondering if there is any wallets (Offline Desktop wallets) that are functional fine on it before I setup it because I simply don't like to screw things up and lose my few BTC's Even if not for now .. for the Final release of Windows which should be on couple of weeks AFAIK ?

I saw somewhere that Multi-bit is running. But I have no experiences, just try it and hope. Then post here if it's really working.

i think every bitcoin wallet will work, since there's not really much changes in windows 10 except gui. if a wallet doesn't work for you then troubleshoot it/try different compatibility mode to fix the problem.

I think that almost all programs working with windows 8 and windows 7 will be working with windows 10 so every wallet we have now will work

Why take the slightest risk with something as important as that? Let other people take the strain and upgrade later on if all looks well, or try it on a different machine if you have one. If you look here http://windows.microsoft.com/en-gb/windows/preview-faq-what-can-keep-pc 'most apps' isn't a hugely reassuring phrase.

I personally think this is the best option for now. Windows 10 is relatively new, so the software may not be as stable yet. Use blockchain.info for now, and maybe later, use an offline wallet.

i'm running it on a Vm, last build, it's a good so right now, and they still need to release the enw kernel if i'm not mistaken, anyway i'm running bitcoin xt there, and it work like a charm, don't know about armory or multibit, but they should work too
windows 10 is basically like 8.1 enhanced, only be aware that some antivirus aren't working there yet....so it's not recommended to store big amount

Why would you lose your coins? You should have several secure back ups and if you were worried about losing coins just use a wallet with barely anything in just to test it out.

Thanks for all your answer guys , I will consider it . @Amph ,I'am not sure how I didn't think about it before that , It's slow for me because I have 3GB RAM only but I guess I will give it a shoot on Virtual Machine then see how things goes , if all good I will try it if not I will simply wait for developpers to upgrade their wallets

Thaks a lot , you can't imagine how much you helped me . Just to make sure , have you tried both Multibit HD & Multibit Classic on your Windows 10 VM ? If you didn't test the Multibit HD version mind testing it ? It came out today

Just hold off updating to Windows 10, I always leave it a few months when new software comes out. Let other people mess up & be the guinea pigs whilst you sit back & quietly read others feedback. Then when you're sure it's ok & all bugs/glitches have been ironed out, move on and upgrade.

Instead of trying Windows' wallet, search for any trusted third-party wallet. That way you don't have to be dependent on Windows 10 only. I wanted to know if there are third-party wallet providers having mobile apps for wallets?

I second you on that Best way is to go for the tried & tested one until Windows 10 software is established and proved safe enough to keep your coins. Though I think the next version of wallet in Windows will be better and surely secure enough to keep all the coins.

Basically Bitcoin Core & XT , Electrum & Multibit all works fine and without issues on Windows 10 . Now I will just wait for the Final version of Windows on June 29 then set things up
