I thought there was something wrong with Yobit when I couldn't get my coins to my wallet last night, but then I realized that the blockchain is just moving really slowly.  Like several hours per block.  I think there is nothing technically wrong with the coin,  but maybe too few people staking to keep the blockchain moving smoothly.

What were the 3 or 4 masternodes doing? I had times in the last few days where my weight was higher than the network weight. Nonsense. It's just broken.

I'm not sure the masternodes can move the blockchain without stakers; but if your stake weight was higher than the network weight, and the blockchain still didn't move, then maybe things are broken.

Personally I'm just seeing things moving extremely slowly, not exactly broken - bought some cheap coins from Yobit, and am trying to make a masternode (total cost: 18 cents, why not?). The only problem is waiting for 15 confirmations before starting the MN - it's literally taking all night.  Roll Eyes

This coin has the same exploit as masterdoge, pharma etc.

Just curious - assuming that POW is over, does this hashrate exploit matter anymore?

In other words, is an XPH-derived coin further exploitable once it's in pure POS mode, or is the damage all in the past?

Its not exploitable in POS anymore, only in POW, but once in POS, the "damage" in POW has been done already..

Gotcha, thanks for answering - so basically the damage to the integrity of the coin is irreversible, since someone could have been mining unfairly during POW.

I was curious as to why this coin's blockchain is moving so damn slowly - it's been on the same block for like a day - but it seems the hashrate exploit isn't related...

He won't be comming back  Grin
Out of curiosity, how many actually believed this was going to be more than a short lived mine and dump?

It's too bad that a cool name was wasted on this.  "SENTARO", that sounded nice.  Oh well, it's forever tarnished now.
