I have heard from a bitcointalk thread that it is good to buy a crypto-currency when it is fresh launched on an exchange  and after some time sell it.
Is that true?

Anybody knows if that is a good strategy?  Smiley

Depends on what exchange and what altcoin, there are too many shitty exchanges now that accept any coin at all, that shouldnt be a factor to buy the coin because it may be the shittiest altcoin but those exchanges are still going to accept them.

I started buying some altcoins that have a low price right now, that are somewhat new and have potential to see how it goes, i bought maxcoins at 9000 satoshis, now they are at 9800, we will see how it goes.

Those exchangers don't easily accept new altcoins if the coin have a good trading volume from other exhcangers then it has a chance to get added.

I noticed that for example on C-Cex,every 2-3 days are added new coins,so what do you think about the strategy? Anybody tried it out?

If you are referring for ninja launch coins then it is unpredictable because the price might keep on dropping once it hit an exchanger ( due to the selling pressure from all the early miners ) but if you are referring to a another altcoin that has a solid worktab and future on it then it is quite true (happened to DASH)

Those exchangers don't easily accept new altcoins if the coin have a good trading volume from other exhcangers then it has a chance to get added.

Try to read this clearly, he is saying when it is fresh launched on exchanger

when it is fresh launched on an exchange

Also that c-cex and bittrex will keep on adding a new pop up coins depending on the hype for it (c-cex will mostly, harder with bittrex) basically all you need for a new coin to be added into an exchanger is a hype from twitter, more Retweet means more demands for the coins and therefore more higher chance to get added

I noticed that for example on C-Cex,every 2-3 days are added new coins

Good observation and its true, reason is simple for it, they gain from the trading fee so why not?

Well from my experiences, no.

You're most likely going to be faced with manipulators that drive the market down.

yeah it is, it was used all the tieme before, don't know if this still work , but you need to be fast, you need to have money already on exchange, and buy in bulk when the coin it the exnchange, then at 100% you dump and forget about it

some users, follow this strategy but they start to trade even before it hit the exchange, they start to sell coins on the official thread, you can spot some of them easily

It's a dangerous strategy. It can depend where on the timeline a coin is added to an exchange. Sometimes, miners (particularly early ones) have such a large supply that they just constantly push price down from the get-go. Beware.

You gotta be quick. Very quick. And even then, it depends how long the coin has been mined for, and what the nature of distribution has been. There could be a huge mass of supply waiting to dump on you. I steer clear of the illiquid / new coins. Yeah, I miss out on the biggest % gains, but there is only enough liquidity to buy/sell for peanuts at that point anyway.

Buying new conis is extremely risky. why not buy the leading altcons? There is high chance you will earn some decent amount of money from the long term.

Buy into the right ICO in the right way and right time and you can make BTCBTCBTC

Take a look at SPX ICO on YoBit: http://yobit.net/en/trade/SPX/BTC

All signs point to pure profit on this coin in the way described

ICOs are bad the vast majority of the time. In part because devs can buy their own coins (from multiple accounts) thereby pocketing the ICO funds AND the coins they purchased which everyone else only receives their own purchase. Basically they are getting their BTC investment back PLUS the coins they bought for free.

Avoid ICOs

Study the chart and the fundamentals ... if you can put a realistic price on an equity, even if that price is inaccurate, that's much better than "I think that this stock should rise". When you know what a stock is worth, it's a lot easier to ride out a "bad trade". Plus, this has been a bull market - time heals some mistakes.

If you are trading a couple times a week, that's my area of interest - swing trading! I have had some success closely following one main stock and following up on some alternates. I'm not even in the market right now.

Your focus on just three stocks is smart, but the gains are not realistic. Aim for 1-2%. Plus, some brokers like mine have a three day settlement period for funds.

It is relative, because for example if you buy a new coin it can to get be delisted on a few days later and you will have a lot of uselesscoin.Worst cases is when you buy on a ICO.
