Electrum is available for Android (https://electrum.org/#download). I expect most of the clients listed for Android at this link are lite clients (which is what you are looking for):
https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

I'd be surprised, come to think of it, if anyone is offering an Android client that IS carrying the whole blockchain.

As far as I know there is not one Android Bitcoin wallet which downloads full blockchain. They use simplified validation. You can choose from many apps: Bither, Ninki, Airbitz, Mycelium, Hive, Coinomi.
But I recommend classic wallet: Bitcoin Wallet I feel it is the most secure of them all. But I did not tested these wallets myself, so feel free to check them out yourself.

Coinomi Universal HD Wallet will do exactly what you're asking for. On top of that you can keep main and testnet coins at the same wallet, plus you get many altcoin integrations out of the box. It's free, open source and it delivers.

I think Mycelium will be best for you OP or if you just need to accept bitcoins for now and just want to hold them then you should consider looking into paper wallets as they're best for cold storage and long term holding.

But if you just want an app than out of the ones already mentioned Mycelium is one I would suggest, it has all the feature one needs.

There's no app that allows you to download the blockchain. Mostly due to the size constrains. A few good ones are Mycelium, Bitcoin Wallet (Download the one with Bitcoin Wallet developers as the developer]. I stongly advice against using anything by blockchain.info.

You can check a wallet app for android here: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet
my recommendation is use Mycelium, a thread: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=814907.0
