Radeon R9 295x2 for Scrypt Custom Miner

Do you guys have any opinion to share about the Radeon R9 295x2 for a custom scrypt miner?

anyway it should work like one 290x, so high intensity, around 19-20 and a thread-concurrency around 24000, -g 1

keeps scantime and expire to 1, especially in solo

Do not buy 295x2 for mining only. The price is too high. You may not ROI. Used 7970 is the best. There are many miners can use 7970. 7970 is also cheaper than 280X. Many 280X voltages are locked, the memory is not high quality.

If for some reason you really want to use a high end card and have the chance to put it up for resale later i would into the nano that was just announced. Should be around 400$ A high end psu could easily handle a few of these and if you want to mine via a case you could get three in a standard atx with 800w psu able to power 3.

Cool. I had no idea they had released those. They would be real nice in a case. As it is now I run 2 7970's in 3 cases and 2 pair r9 290's in 4 other cases. Too bad I don't mine that much anymore. Mostly new coins right at beginning if I catch it.

That nano card still uses 28 nm process. So it will not save much energy. The profitability could still be the same as the old 79xx, which is also 28 nm.
