In the satoshi client... how are private keys created?  What is the randomization technique used to create them, and how is this randomization NOT reproducible?
Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

Last time I checked, Bitcoin used:
- Microsecond time.
- GUI events
- /dev/urandom if available
- HKEY_PERFORMANCE_DATA on Windows
