Hi guys.

I am obviously very new!

I am wanting to buy 1 Bitcoin. I am in Australia and want to use a bank debt card MasterCard from a very large bank.
Every site I have been on is adding on $20 to $30 'transaction fees' or whatever the wish to call it.

Where is the best place to buy them with a credit/debt card from Australia?

I understand that these sites/companies are going to charge maybe a little but (this is going to sound very noob) from what I have learnt one of the fundamental reasons for revolution of the technology is that there is little no fees. (I have been at this 24hr)

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

if you want 0% fee then i think the best idea is to find someone who sell BTC in your country and meet him, who know maybe you are in lucky, you can start searching at this trading board: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=8.0

i wish you good luck Wink

Check around on the currency exchange board or take a look at localbitcoins.com. There might be a few people near you able to fulfill your order.

Currency exchange section would be a good place to try. If not, withdraw your money and use it on a bitcoin atm. The little fee part kind of applies only if you are trading Bitcoin for goods and not credit cards or fiats for bitcoin. Credit cards are easily to be charged backed so there is a huge fee to reduce the risk.
