Mine at Jonny's Pool

Still got the same S3s I purchased last year from the early batches (1,2 and 3).  They're turning 1 soon, and I'm sure I'll have a nice party for them.

Of my original 9, 8 are still functioning within acceptable parameters.  The poor one that is no longer with us failed on me at the beginning of the year.  I get about 3.6TH/s from them.  Cost of electricity is around $0.10 per kWh.  They are still squeaking out a profit...

no miners, but if the new generation is promising, and arrive before chinese start investing in it too(i doubt, but still one can hope) i may consider purchasing one of those miner that work at 16nm

before that i want to see his spec, consumption and hashrate ratio, because my electricity is too high here

Oh!  I forgot about my USB miners Smiley.  I've got 5 Antminer U2 that give me about 9GH/s.  I have them pointed to -ck's solo pool... because you never know.  They cost virtually nothing to run (they're plugged into an rPi).

I'm about to buy 2 U2's to start experimenting with mining... No chance of getting ROI, but that's not my main motivation  Cool

Unless you've got virtually free power, or you get your mining hardware for virtually no cost, you've got almost no shot at ROI with any gear.  For example, let's take a look at the S5.  Right now, new from Bitmain it's $360 (1.434BTC at their current conversion rate).  Let's just pretend there are no other costs at all (you already have a PSU and no shipping costs).  At the current $250 per BTC, even with only a 2% overall increase in the network hash rate per adjustment you will not ever make ROI with $0.10 per kWh power.  Make that adjustment 1% and you'll start to see a profit in about 300 days.

So, I'm glad your primary motivation isn't ROI Smiley.  Also, I just wanted to point out something that may be obvious, and forgive me if you're already aware.  The U2 is a SHA256 *only* device.  I mention this because of your forum name.  If you plan to point those U2s to some alt-coin, ensure it's SHA256 or the miners won't work at all.

Thanks for the tip... I actually didn't even thing about the fact if it was sha256 or scrypt, i just wanted them to experiment with mining...

Indeed, my nick is altcoinhosting, but that's actually because i regged a domain altcoinhosting.com, offering users the possibility to pay with altcoins for their hosting. I'm planning to exchange those altcoins to BTC anyway  Grin

5 S5
1 S3

that i use

four worthless Script miners i use from time to time for fun.

one of my scripts is a G-blade black the rest are Zeus Miners.

but i all most always have a total of 6 miners running til i can afford more S5 or find deals on used ones like i did the other day. and may be buy  a titan and A1 or A2 script miner.

O yea forgot a

S1 that sets most of the time i want to upgrade not to a S3,I'm hoping one or two things going on the forums lets me upgrade it to a more useful thing.

have been thinking of buying one of these BTCGarden V2.

0.0855 per KWh without taxes and fees added. I avg  around 350 $ total power bill  a month for the house if I run them 24/7 if I don't a little lower.

and my S5 have paid for them self i can't complain by that i mean i reinvest what they make to make more Smiley..!!!!

What miner do you have now and how much you mine? How much is electricity kwt hour in your country?

Two S3's
1 "new Rbox"
1 S1.

I mine 24/7, it's freaking complicated and retarded.. like 12 cents then they start charging more if you use more.. so you get charged 12 cents if you use like 1/10th of a KW/H or like 25 cents if you use 10 KWH...

USB Miners arent expensive, it's a good way to start mining and understanding the concept.

You are completely right, there is no ROI, but it's a good chance to understand how it works the mining, and motivate you to upgrade to the next level Smiley

No, she'd probably be pretty upset.

€0.27 per kWh means an S3 will cost you roughly €2.20 per day to run.  Currently, that S3 expects to make €0.97 a day.
For an S5 you'll do a little better, but still not going to make anything... €3.82 to run a day, expects to make €2.91 a day.

Might want to hold off on taking it to the next level Tongue

Not only would she be upset, for once she would have a good reason to be upset  Grin

I actually wasn't planning on taking it to the next level anyway, i was aware of the fact that the more hashing power i burn in my home, the more money it'll cost me. Energy prices in my country are insane...

I'm just going to use my (future) U2's to mine some BTC and to experiment. I'm aware of the fact that running a server (i've got an old HP Proliant gathering dust) with those 2 usbsticks will consume a lot more power that can ever be made with the BTC it'll mine... But i don't really care  Cool
