subject says it all...

I recently upgraded to 10.2 and have been receiving payments just fine.

however I attempted to send 1btc and it has not confirmed in a couple of hours now..

I did not adjust the time/fee structure and the last time I set it I had the slider 1 down from the fastest confirm in next block area.

anyway.. I look at the wiki and I find

-zapwallettxes         Clear list of wallet transactions (diagnostic tool; implies -rescan)

will this recover my coin or wipe my wallet completely or both ?

This will clear the database of transactions to and from the addresses in your wallet. It will then rescan the entire blockchain and rebuild that database of all of your transactions.

BTW, can you post the txid of the transaction you tried to send?

well almost four hours and still no confirmations...
Blockchain says it was sent with medium Priority  " Estimated Confirmation Time   Within 6 Blocks (Medium Priority)  "

this can go on the list of what is wrong with bitcoin .. can you imagine if I was at a restaurant or store and they would not let me leave till I got 1 confirmation... I would be washing dishes by now I think lol

Did you send it with no fee at all or fee lower than 0.0001BTC? This can cause transaction delays as transactions with higher fees will be processed first and the blocks get full before yours finally gets processed.
