There are a number of interesting art projects going on related to bitcoin. The first is Rob Myers' "Blockchain Aesthetics"
http://robmyers.org/blockchain-aesthetics/Next is something that some may already be familiar with, a painting hiding access to several bitcoins in the painting itself. You just have to figure out where it is:
https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/painting-hides-bitcoins-treasure-creating-online-frenzy/I've just released my own piece that turns bitcoin transaction data into an audio-visual overlay on top of historically significant paintings in real-time, titled "For What It's Worth". You can make your mark on the work. And the source-code is available.
I've been involved in software related art for many years and the notion of "artistic value" has always been problematic as the work is open-source and has no physical component (to sell). This piece plays on that notion.
