Crypto Lookup Chrome Extension - Web Store Release

Being a bitcoiner is tough.  You always want to check out address stats you see online (be it donation addresses, or anything else), but don't want to select the address, txid, etc., and copy it into your block explorer of choice.

We are here to fix this for you!  With this Google Chrome Extension installed, just right-click on the address, txid, or block hash, and click our button: we'll launch a block explorer in a new tab for you, with all your information.

We are looking for other developers to quickly review our code and let us know what y'all think (we're always looking for people to suggest/make improvements).

If there are any developers out there who are interested in joining the project more officially, let us know and we'll bring you aboard!

This looks very useful, it sometimes is a bit irritating to copy paste several Tx-IDs and/or addresses into a block explorer and this extension will really come in handy but I would have been more interested in this if it was a Firefox addon, I don't use chrome that much and I hope you can develop something similar for FF as well.

Chrome Extension development is much easier (and more within my expertise).  Also, if you look at the browser usage stats: http://www.w3schools.com/browsers/browsers_stats.asp, it's pretty obvious that Chrome is the browser to be putting effort into in 2015.

So should I try to convince you to switch to Chrome?  Aside from all its superior things (notice amazing argument tactics), I have my awesome extension for it (so that's obviously enough reason to switch right there).

Honestly though, I'd consider making the switch (a little off-topic, but why not)...not to get into a browser war or anything though (I swear that's not what I'm trying to do) [btw Mac is better than PC...shots fired]

Hope you'll check it out in Chrome when it's officially released on the extension store regardless!

Definitely, thanks for the offer!  If you want to give a small monetary donation, buying a $10 prepaid Visa would cover the cost of the app store release fee thing.  If there's anyone out there feeling helpful, let us know!  You can keep the remainder of the $10 (should be about $4.50 left over).

Pretty useful, maybe you could introduce it to the altcoin community, i'm sure it would gain a lot more support if you want a few other popular altcoins to it.

Actually a partnership with an altcoin for this would be great, have you though of the blackcoin community or the dash community both are well based and have active developers looking to make new things for them.

We really like the altcoin idea.  We're going to reach out to them later this week probably.  Hopefully we could get some initial funding from them to get the project rolling again.

Thanks!  In the mean time, we don't really have any intentions to add Mozilla support.  Over 40% of the web uses Chrome, so it's where we'd like to focus our development efforts.  However, in the very distant future, with enough donations, we might consider the idea.  I'll PM you about the logo, thanks!
