I've just watched btc jump from £152 to £158 to £163.40 in a matter of hours. Some have speculated it's the situation in Greece, but the real question is, where will it stop?

better to move in the speculation board, your real question cannot have an answer for obvious reason, but it will not touch 300 so easily, otherwise we may start a real rally, up to 500

agreed a touch to 300 will spark a rally atm resistance is low to get to dyay 275 but beyond that there are people selling crazy walls are being built as we speak lol there are 60btc sell walls even at 255 so i hope we can overcome this small hurdle at least...

Uh, why should it stop? Have you asked UK Govt when they will stop making their £ increasingly irrelevant?

My question is "where will it stop?" not that it should stop. What has the UK Govt have to do with the context of my topic, or the question in general? please try not to go out of context.

Let me know when it goes from £70-£700 again. That's when I'll get excited  Cheesy. I wonder if we'll ever see the £700/$1000+ again.

You seem to be unaware of the connection between £ and UK Govt.  I thought that would be apparent.  If not, you might try learning the basics before involving yourself in complex stuff like Bitcoin.

there is no real reason why it should happen and why it should not happen, it is just a matter of general luck, but we waited 4 years to hit that peak, maybe we need another 4 years to hit a bigger price this time

so around 2017? after the block halving, could be a good estimate

Still too little greeks are jumping on board here. I saw some guy saying a 120% increase in bitcoin buys from Greece, but that is not enough to move the price more than a couple of USD. Also, they are probably too scared to put too much into it, also limiting the growth.

A bubble is always coming sometime in the future  Cheesy

We are in the historical lows, it is too early to speak of bubbles. I think we cannot call the current market a bubble until we have 10% rise a day for many days.

It is hard to say if Greece has anything to do with this. For this we would need to know the percentage of people that know not only what Bitcoin is but if they know how to use it and store their money on there.
Also, wouldn't the goverment try to do something about it? Nowadays you need to give a lot of credentials to the exchanges, so maybe the Greek government could demand the exchanges that every Greek citizen that deposited money there gets some sort of sanction... im just picturing scenarios of what the gov could do to avoid it and drop fear on citizens to use BTC as a safe haven.

while another bubble is going to happen in the future, i don't think that we can call the recent movement the beginning of the bubble.
so to answer your question it seems to me that this is the stop for the time being.

Indeed, it's easy to get caught up in the excitement of relatively large moves after such calm in the charts, but truthfully we need to see more before assuming we are beginning the ascension of the wall of worry. In my opinion another bubble is a few years off at least.

it was only a price correction, which is good,

basically we stayed too much time in the same range, and the price was a bit forced to move upward, now if we can repeat this without stopping or turning back, in the end we should eventually rise to a good point

Its a bubble, will hit (in dollars) 160 or lower.

Then it will start rising, but there is going to be another big dip.
