As far as what should be done with the mined coins. What about a 50/50 split. Half coins burned and the other half used to fund developments?

I would go for the "burn them all" approach Smiley

Good idea. I will add this oprion too.
And another option can be split the coins tot he  first 20 wallets in richlist.

Options are:

1) coins will be burned
2) coins will be sold in auction (every holder of XRA will get discount 15%)
3) coins will be used as a bounty for next development.
4) 50/50 split, half coins burned ant the other half used for bounties.
5) Coins will be split to the first 20 wallets in richlist. (except the first one....it is always exchange)

Any other suggestions?

5) Coins will be split to the first 20 wallets in richlist. (except the first one....it is always exchange)

Any other suggestions?

The first might not be an exchange's wallet, and instead a part of the
other 20 addresses above may actually be exchange's wallet, or may
belong to the wallet being held offline and then they do not do
anything useful for the network.

Instead you do not feel that would be more serious and fair reward with
an extra, the first 20 addresses that have produced more blocks in the
given period of time?
They actually do something for the network, they make sure that it works.

Extract information of the top 20 staker is not too hard, just count the
blocks in the main-chain generated by address. (with a routine ofc)

Bye Bye

Does your idea not just make the rich even richer - I understand the idea of an extra reward for the biggest helpers towards blockchain stability, but it is still those WITH the most GETTING the most.
Burning all the coins generated by the miner will make the coin rarer and therefore more valuable to EVERYONE with coins
Let them burn and the benefit goes to all Smiley
Just my thoughts, a poll would sort it out though  Cheesy

Yes and No.
It seem to me fair to reward the active user, not just the rich list.
Burn the extra would give a better vantage to who have more, even if inactive.

But, Of course is just my opinion.  Smiley

Right.
Probably a wise solution might be a middle way,
33% burned, 33% for development, and 33% for the staker.

Thanks, I voted.

And now a bit of electoral propaganda. Wink

The following are the data collected in the last week of the top 20 stacker,
compared with their position in RichList.
The count was made in part automatically and in part by hand, are then possible

the first of RichList, hypothesized to be an exchange, in actually it produces many blocks POS.

But despite these important presences, the overall gain of an entire week does not seem high.
