Is Virwox Safe?

I wanted to ask a question as you can see in the title of the topic. I was wondering if Virwox was safe as you all know i am from India and what i wanna use Virwox for...... Evil

I had some BTC in the past and my account was null automatically. But i tried here and there but couldn't find anything helpful, Also i don't know what is the minimum amount to withdraw money  no idea

Virwox is legit. However,
- transactions often get denied (for unknown reasons)
- Very high fees
- Maxium purchase is like 60$ at a time (you can build rep but it takes long)


Only use Virwox if you have no other options!!

I've used them a couple of times, never had anny issues...

Like said before: their fees are extremely high (5-10% is no exeption)

Virwox is mainly used to convert paypal to linden$ and then to btc, they have a daily limit for new user for 100$ i think andd it changes with your trade volume and days as member there i think, this guy has given a decent tutorial on how to use virwox, you can check it there http://99bitcoins.com/buying-bitcoins-with-paypal-a-practical-guide/

virwox is 100% safe. I am using from 2012 .......still not facing any difficulties .....

virwox is 100% safe. I am using from 2012 .......still not facing any difficulties .....

I also use virwox from time to time, fees are high as already explained but I find them useful because of the fact you could convert to Linden Dollars, for use in Second Life.
But they have been around for a long while.

Virwox is as safe as it gets IMO, I was a hardcore Virwox user when I first got into crypto back in 2013 and I've transferred money using both Paypal and Skrill without any problems. The only downside is their fee but the more you use their service the less you pay and your transaction limit increases gradually. I don't think there is a safer site if you want to use Paypal. But if don't mind using debit or credit cards then you should definitely have a look at Circle.com, they're hands down the best site for buying BTC, that's where I go every time now  

EDIT - If I remember correctly, the minimum amount of Bitcoin you can withdraw from your Virwox account is 0.02

They are very legit and safe to use , but if you are planning to buy Bitcoins using either Paypal or Credit cards then you might want rethink about it because the fees are very high . They have some leveling system AFAIK to withraw money unlilimited i guess

It's one of the oldest and safest services around here. Their fees is another question, but I bought myself there a few times, everything went fluently. If you don't mind the fees I really recommend it.

but since i discover other sites i will not use it, the reason is simply, thay have a high expensives taxes and since there is others who do the same and cheap i will not use it again anymore.

for newbie it offers 3.9% trade fee.

Example :

If you want to use paypal to buy bitcoins via virwox then --

for $100 deposit virwox cut off 3.4% plus 0.35 EUR

then you need to buy Linden dollars with dollars...virwox cut off 3.9% trade fee
next you need to sell Linden for btc ... virwox cut off 3,9% trade fee again !

And finally to withdraw bitcoins virwox cut off fixed 0.01 BTC withdrawal fee per withdrawal

And on top of that, Indian PayPal accounts are charged about 4.5% + $0.35 per amount deposited in the account. It's certainly not worth it unless the amount is above $100.

virwox is legit and trustable as far as ive heard, but I know their fees are sky high... I think it varied between 5-10% but im not too sure.

Virwox is safe. I use them all the time. Fees will cost you around 8% in total: Paypal USD to Virwox - USD to SLL - SLL to BTC  and then withdraw (withdraw is like $1.19 at this time of writing.)

The other pain is their account level clearance for deposit and trade. It seems self explanatory at first, but it's highly confusing. It doesn't kick up to each level the way you'd imagine it would.

ps: People not in the U.S can't use Circle. I've not found another decent place to purchase BTC without U.S regulations in place, eg. proof of address, ID, and so on at their discretion.

virwox is VERY safe, the only BIG downside of this website is that they have HUGE fees to buy bitcoins.

Yes Virwox is Safe, I have buy more than 500 € with paypal and their exchange... every time ok.... high fees( To high) but this is the compromise if you are going to buy btc with paypal...if you exchange more during the month you can exchange more euro and more frequently.
But is a soft gratification, due the high fees that they are the really obstacles in the site.
