So we have all talked about from what this thing might look like, to how much power we think it will consume

The question is what steps are you planning to take when you finally get that tracking number?

Will the preparation efforts be intensified now that its going to be ASIC?

When I get my tracking number means I have maybe 2 days till I get them.

In those 2 days, I plan on taking my dad's P4 Compaq (that he gave me years ago because I "like computer stuff" and he didn't want it anymore) and installing Ubuntu, along with logmein and the latest version of CGMiner that supports said ASICs. Plug them in, and start mining! After about a week or two, I'll transfer them to a nearby datacenter that's owned by an old coworker. Free electric, and a 100Mb/s internet connection. If the Compaq's not fast enough, I got a slightly less old C2D laptop that can do the trick.

Eventually I'd like to get a 1U server, as that would be a much cleaner looking rackmount solution.

I have a Dell laptop with Pentium 4 based Celeron, it does an excellent job, even with Windows 7 running 1 x Single keeps the CPU load below 3%, but I suspect most of it is used to decrypt the WIFI encryption.
The laptop only draws 30w with lid shut.

Are you sure that logmein supports Linux? Last I checked it did not.

Why not teamviewer instead of logmein? As said before I don't think logmein supports linux, where Teamviewer does.
