I just signed up for an account at Mt.Gox.

Turns out the only way to fund it (unless a bunch of hoops are jumped through), is bank wire.

That's going to cost $25 each time.

Not a reasonable option as I plan to do purchases 1-2x per month.

There must be a cheaper way?

Any advise from veterans here?

Thanks

Right now, traveling.  Currently in Thailand (nowhere near Bangkok, already looked at that option).

He's asking quite a spread.  It would be cheaper to pay the bankwire fees.

In Canada its so easy to buy bitcoin its not even funny

I send 100$ and get 100$, in the account, the next day, 0 fees

sending money is as easy as paying a bill online

its weird how the rest of the world can't seem to pull this off

Right now, traveling.  Currently in Thailand (nowhere near Bangkok, already looked at that option).

There are individual sellers in a few areas of Thailand:

There might be another combination that works.  BTC-e takes Webmoney Z.  Entelnova sells Webmoney Z by accepting Thai bank transfer or cash deposit at a bank in Thailand.

There might be other approaches that work.  The operator of Bahtcoin might know sellers in the country, for instance.

Ah Thailand - loved the place. To much sun and smoking for me, got well sick whilst there.

Cant think of a solution to your problem - doesnt seem like you have to many options really Sad.

Its not so bad in the UK, usually takes a day or so to get into mtgox account.
