The main reason I prefer to pay in bitcoin is that I've had problems with credit card charges getting denied or flagged as suspicious, especially from certain countries.  Despite your claim to be in Toronto, I strongly suspect your credit card processor is not actually in Canada.  Does the "bitcoin" code at checkout still count for your survey even if my credit card gets declined?
