Dear Community Members,

Your support has helped us achieve our first big milestone. We have successfully executed a big pilot in partnership with Cameroon government. Results got some media attention as well.

Over the next 12 months, we will enroll 500 Trestor retail partners across Cameroon (10 regions, 54 divisions and more than 360 sub-divisions).

Once a transaction has 6 confirmations, it is extremely unlikely that an attacker without at least 50% of the network's computation power would be able to reverse it.

Hi Benson,

Yes, we will open source Trestor's core libraries on its second birthday, ie. on 1st July 2015.

Trestor Wallet's iOS and Android crypto-library code is already open. Feel free to fork it!

Still no open source everything?
Am very keen to mine some trests. Was thinking of starting from July 1st.

Very keen to know coin cap, etc..
Else this is PayPal trying a horrid marketing route that will shadow/crawl around bitcoin.

Hi Benson,

Total trest in existence: 100 billion

Market cap at $0.01: $1 billion USD

Trests themselves are non-mineable. Our Trest miner software, detects the hardware and mines the most profitable coin and exchanges it for Trests, giving an illusion that the user is mining Trests.

Hahahahaha.. Lmfao... You guys deserve a new Forum..
Bitcointalk and cryptocurrency stuff is not yet upto you'll.. Illusions indeed.

Best of luck. Any further trestor threads in this part of the forums will land in the trash can. Apart from the previous unresolved ones and this one.
Nothing else will be tolerated on my watch.
This can be disputed on any of the global threads.. of course.

So do you have a fixed cap on number of coins issued? Or is this based on some 1BILLION USD thingy that means snark?
You also mention 100 Billion trests in existance... Does this mean that there are billions upon billions coming soon?
Cos if its not coming soon, its not catchy.

lets do 750 Billion tbh, cos that number rocks.

Just like bitcoin, no new trest creation is allowed unless the majority of the network votes for it.

Who controls this network?
Is this a centralized solution or some payment network that does not belong here by any chance? Just asking. Cos if it does not belong here, then what is it doing here?

Quote
Currently, Trestor has recorded a global sale of $3 million trests (the currency) and an India sale of over $1 million. "India accounts for 35.6 percent of our India sales," Dixit said.

How did this happen? I thought that you'll were in early stages or something( I can get you a recent link where this was said). What if your source code is inconvenient or globally proven to be non decentralized? Will you refund all that money?

What if the properties of your offering were the same as Bitcoin? or worse?

Everything said and done, this is bitcointalk.
We talk about Bitcoin, we are 'ok' with alts, and we have given you'll a darn section. POST there. These main and better read threads are for Bitcoin, Blockchain and not for rip-offs or imitations. If you are decentralized, open source and have something to offer, come here, else you will get really horrific comments, like your other article reply comments or reddit. I can post those links as well, where your PR has gone south.

You still have 2 unresolved threads on this forum. Try answering some of those questions.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1064423.0 - Trestor Foundation - Tech Draft / Q & A [UNRESOLVED]
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1057794.0 - Trestor - A confirmed cryptocurrency scam ! [UNRESOLVED]

And yeah, This is Bitcointalk. We have altcoin sections as well.

If its not that obvious, then let me help.
Your Trests arent related to BTC, this forum is about BTC and I dont see why you guys will be allowed to post something that did or did not happen in Africa on the Indian subforum of THE Bitcoin/cryptocurrency forum of the planet.

Hey at least they are only giving themselves just over $1 billion dollars through the sale of the 'trests'? So pretty much non-profit right?

This, excerpt from wikipedia, will help understand what a "Non-profit organisation" is:

A nonprofit organization (NPO, also known as a non-business entity) is an organization that uses its surplus revenues to further achieve its purpose or mission, rather than distributing its surplus income to the organization's directors (or equivalents) as profit or dividends.

This one was hilarious.

Quote
As an owner of SOCAPSSI I take umbrage with several elements of this article written as is. First and foremost SOCAPSSI is in a private/public partnership with CNPS which in and of itself is not "the government of Cameroon". As to the direct quotes above by Dr. Antoine de Padoue NDEMMANU - they must be taken within the correct context. How can I have a rebuttal statement published to clear the good name and mission of SOCAPSSI?
From the comments under the article where Kunal sent that whatsapp thread to Coin Telegraph.

Quote
The government of Cameroon has implemented a centralized, insecure and potentially dangerous blockchain protocol and currency Trest in their project to enable the unbanked to transfer money quickly without transaction fees.
