the word gambit has been already taken www.gambit.com using it might cause people to think that the two sites have a relation to each other. So it is better to use another name for it

I don't really know much about SEO, but wouldn't changing your site URL mean you have to start from scratch? And it looks like bitcoin-betting-guide.com is ranking pretty well? Again, I don't know much about SEO, so please correct me if I'm wrong.

they could use url redirect at first, people that open the old link will redirected to the new url until the new url getting more established.

IMHO, BitSharp.Net sounds better than Bitcoin-Betting-Guide.Com. Smiley
If I were you, I'd go for BitSharp.Net.

I choose BitSharp.Net because it is short and easy to remember.

Life sucks.

Whatever you choose, more people need to know about your site, it's by far the best resource around for BTC sportsbetting reviews and information.

Your content is excellent, would be great to have a place for people to discuss it - have you thought about starting a thread like Peeps Place's one?

Just voted and I prefer Bitsharp, but wouldn't Bitshark be more ralated to gambling.
Maybe this is because I play poker (although I like betting to), but normally, at least in poker, we call a good player a "shark".

Anyway if you really prefer the "sharp" term, I would definitely go for the shorter one (bitsharp) because it's easier to remember.

Yeah, I like that name... Bitshark, or even BitcoinShark if it was a Poker site  Smiley. It would be perfect!

As for the 2 options I would go for the Bitsharp Wink

I voted to keep it the same.  The new name options both end up with folks referring to it in short hand as BS.  BBG is way better than BS.  If anything, maybe you could just shorten up or add an alt link that is simply BBG.  Good luck with your site in the future.

if you are talking about bitcoin betting guide i believe its way too long, to have a successful web you have to have a strong and easy name

This is OP posting on my new account. The results of the voting are

www.bitcoinsharp.com 23%

No change 33%

www.bitsharp.net 44%

And following the precedent set in Greek democracy we are ignoring the votes and making our own choice hahaha. We have renamed the site Bitedge! Read all about it and the history of the site here

https://bitedge.com/blog/introducing-bitedge-the-improved-bitcoin-betting-guide/

I am joking about ignoring the votes, when we made the pole we had not had the idea of www.bitedge.co but the votes and feedback in this forum did contribute greatly to the decision. It told us that a change to a short memorable name was favoured and that .com is not a must. We also heard that "sharp" is slightly too niche and even those in the target audience might not get it.

You can verify this post is legit by going to any address on the old http://bitcoin-betting-guide.com/ and you will be redirected to the corresponding page on www.bitedge.co

The other changes are the logo, the Odds comparisons update every 15 minutes, the site is faster and there are no banner ads!

Every bettor wants an edge and bitcoin plus the Bitcoin Betting Guide was the best way to get one. “Bitcoin Betting Guide” was a literal description of the website whereas “Bitedge” is the essence of what we are about, Bitedge is our identity. Bitedge’s goal is to be the world’s leading source of bitcoin sports betting information.

These are the Odds comparisons we will be adding in the next few months;
NFL
NCAA Football
NBA
NCAA basketball
NHL
Spanish, German, Italian and UEFA Champions League Soccer
US Presidential election!

We have just added Fairlay (review here) and will soon add a 6th top bitcoin sportsbook to the comparison tables.

We are fascinated by the upcoming surge of bitcoin betting on the 2016 US presidential election. We have a broad overview of Political betting, consequences and the role of bitcoin and a Betting preview of the election itself.

Thanks for reading and have fun bitcoining!
