I currently have my rig in the garage for mining, which is a big problem since whenever I go out there I'm attacked by mosquitoes because I leave a door in the back of my garage open for better ventilation.

However it seems like most people here mine indoors.  For example, when looking at the pictures of your mining rigs page I see people with their rigs almost exclusively indoors.

How do you guys do it? AC will double the amount of energy consumed if I am correct.

Do you just not care about profit and just leave the miners indoors for comfort and the fun of it?

I have a desk fan that I point at my cards to keep them cool. It actually just broke so I can't give you the wattage, but it's not too much.

Like my post? 1H7bfRYh7F89mfmFgsRCdn4awDaUHQmYqY

If I remember right you need a 3 btu for every watt. So if your running more than one rig, your talking about a big a/c needed to get rid of the heat and a huge electricity bill with it.. I use box fans in a push pull configuration to push air over the rigs. exhausting the heat outside a window. Then I have another window cracked to let "cool" air in. This works up until about 90 degree outside air. Then you need to either extreme undervolt or mix incoming air with a/c air. Thats with ten rigs though. Shortly I may end up moving them to a large shed but they are in a small room now

Outside temps were over 100F for days(105 and humid as a tropical rainforest one day) and my garage was at least 95F. I sat in there sweating my ass off and watch the room temps exceed 98F before leaving.  Those rigs are still running and did not care about the heat one bit when underclocked. The doors were closed, the windows were open and it was an oven in the garage.

Heat, humidity and mosquitoes were here in full force.  I used a citronella candle by my feet to keep the bugs out when to door was open. If summer is just starting for you plant lemon grass, marigolds, or real citronella by the door or even in pots. Mosquitoes seems to hate those.

I have dealt with mosquitoes my whole life and those plants seems to help the most. It is better than using a DEET bugspray all the time.
Watch out for "mosquito plants" they are worthless unless they are lemon grass, marigolds or REAL citronella plants.

My mining rig (2x 7970 and 2x 5970 - approx. 1200W) is installed in the basement of our house. Window is open and airflow is ok. It is quite warm in that room (only 9 square meters in size), but as the basement is not lived-in, heat is not a problem. CHP generation plant is installed right next to it and this is much louder when in operation and also generates more heat.
AC for houses is not very common in europe and so we do not have one installed. In summer we had 35 C (approx. 95 F) and no problem with the rig.

By the way - for fire prevention, i installed one of these directly over the rig:
