SOLVED WalletBit.com Currently Experiencing Network Issues - Official Statement

I am sure that many of you have already figured out that we have some network issues tonight.

We're very sorry about this, and we are working very hard with our network provider to fix the issue.

I will make hourly reports in this thread until everything is restored to working condition.

The WalletBit website and service came under DDOS attack on September 15, 2012, completely disabling the services as of around 9:00 PM GMT.

It is indeed a DDoS, extortion demanding bitcoins to stop. Currently there is nothing we can do until Monday.

WalletBit is now back online, and we hope our new custom made Anti-DDoS based on Amazon EC2 created by yours truly - is capable of handing this attack.
