Carl Mark Force IV, the DEA agent accused of stealing nearly $1m-worth of bitcoin during an investigation into the Silk Road, has reportedly struck a plea deal with prosecutors.
This follows last week's guilty plea by a US Secret Service agent involved with the case, Shaun Bridges, to money laundering and wire fraud.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

If Ross Ulbricht got such an awful sentence they can throw this fed in jail for at least 5-6 years hopefully. He shouldn't get a lighter sentence just because he's a fed. He's still a major thief, you can't steal 1 million USD worth of assets & get away lightly. With any luck he'll be made an example of.

Disgusting really look -

'He is also accused of 'flashing his badge' at popular exchange Bitstamp when that company flagged his account for suspicious activity. It was said that this pattern of behavior eventually became Force's undoing, as the companies reported it to his superiors'

In a perfect world he would but have a funny feeling he has nothing but probation and community service in his future.

If they made a example of Ross, they should make an example of this agent too, but we all know lady justice in the USA is blind. Her eyes are covered so that she cannot see the corruption and injustice going on in the American Judicial system.

The agends are there to guard against crime, and then they steal money... How can a plea justify anything?

The thing is, they knew all about this when Ross was on trial, and they did not want to accept it in court. There are no double standards in true justice.  Angry
