Author Topic: Fake website electrum-wallet.com spreads trojan horse  (Read 1192 times)

I've just searched for the term "electrum bitcoin wallet" and clicked on one of the links in the search results list. It took me to the page "www. electrum-wallet. com" (don't go there!), which is a complete copy of the original website (but without ssl certificate)!

I've downloaded the standalone exe (windows) and executed it, my antivirus immediately showed me a malware alert. I've immediately shut down my pc and started with a linux antivirus usb drive, checking my whole machine. I keep you posted as soon as I have any news about the malware.
