I've been playing on Primedice for over a year now and invested some CLAMs on Just-Dice. I also made a small 0.01 BTC deposit to a ponzi game once back when this board was filled with them (which I reinvested and then lost) but other than that, virtually all of my experience with gambling has been with dice games. Of course, dice games are simple and easy to play since they tend to be pretty straightforward but after a while, they can get a bit boring too.
The last time I played card games was several years ago. I also played a couple of games of poker with friends back in high school but I'm not sure if I still remember how to play anymore and even back then, I don't remember winning many games.
Does anyone here have any suggestions?
What other luck-based or skill-based games would be the most suitable for someone whose gambling experience has been mostly restricted to dice?

the new pachinko game that just came out is actually pretty fun, but if you want skill-based games, you might want to try binary options; not really "skill," but if you know what youre doing, its possible to gain an edge in the long run. pachinko: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1094065.0

Luck-only games other than dice that I personally like: Diggit and Luckybit The former one is more fun than dice IMO, because the player takes a part in the it (though it is still just luck) instead of just watching the number rolling. For the latter one, it is exciting to see your coin dropping to the plinko board. For skill-based games, I like Bustabit (with a small skill factor), poker and sports betting (with a much larger skill factor).

I know that there are professional poker players out there who are able to subsist solely on their winnings from online gambling. In fact, I used to know one such person who was a very good online poker player. He was consistently earning more than $300 per week and he was able to use the earnings from his online gambling to pay for all of his living expenses. Eventually he decided to quit playing for profit because he got sick of staring at a screen all day and found a much more lucrative job in programming instead. Playing poker 24/7 as a living like that sounds a bit extreme but I wouldn't mind getting an extra $20 to 50 per week from doing something that I'd probably enjoy once I got the hang of it. How long would I need to study and practice to make this kind of amount every week? I've been playing on Primedice for over a year now and invested some CLAMs on Just-Dice. Kind of like a mix between pinball and slots, I guess. I have a very basic understanding of day trading. Would this be of any help to binary options trading or are the two mostly unrelated?

if you are kinda busy in RL and you still want to gamble, i suggest you try sportsbook, you can use some stats to determine the winner(a little bit skill) and leave it until the game finishes. but if you want to spend time gambling, try poker or blackjack, it require some skills thou

Moving from dice to skill games is a little bit hard , but you can do it if you work hard it's good that you have a little experience with poker , so at least you know something about it you can do good at it if you spend time on studying the game and focusing while playing I'm sure you would have best results and at least you would have fun more than playing dice , since you are the one who takes action and control in these games but also a little bit of dice and BlackJack would be nice ( Gambler's soul needs to throw some money )

from what ive heard, binary options are a simplified form of forex trading, so I guess your basic understanding might come in handy; but id suggest you to read up on it first, and get as much knowledge on the subject you can. coinut and secondstrade seem to be the biggest binary options sites advertised here, so you should start looking around those two sites as well.

Slots or blackjack. Poker is very hard to get a customer base because you need a way to get more than a few people on the website at all hours of the day at the same time.

Gambling is Gambling, so a previous experience doesn't matter anywhere in a game of luck. You can literally play almost all games offered in a Casino, on bitcoin sites. Ranging from Blackjack/Roulette/Slots. Some other innovation games would be Plinko/Horse racing/PVP based games. Skill based games would be poker, which again has lots of variants in itself such as PLO/NL/OFC etc.

Try Sportsbook mate, you're going to love it, first of all no worries whether it's provably fair or not, and it's not that difficult, just choose a sport you're crazy about and start betting, don't go for tips, just do a little bit of research, if you like the sport you would know a thing or two about the teams and players and I am telling you it's better than any other sort of gambling.
And another plus is it doesn't take too much time, you can decide your game for the day, place the bets and enjoy the game, it gets even more exciting.

There are some skill games such as blackjack and video poker, but almost all online variants are configured so that with perfect play it's still -EV. So while fun, you can't ever expect a profitable play.
it might be possible to turn a consistent profit with blackjack if there are live dealers where counting cards can be possible. of course, this practice will get you kicked out (very) quickly in a real casino, but through a compute monitor, no one can really notice you doing this.

I prefer to play on jackpot slots and video poker than pvp poker. Pvp poker is great game, but I don't really like it because it needs a big patience waiting other players especially if the table is full Perhaps sportsbook is also a good choice if you have a good knowledge/analysis about sports.

Try out poker for a while on a regular basis, sign up to a training site, try to actually beat the lower stake games. Its a good thrill to know you can beat the competition. Just make sure you never decide to go pro, its a very bad decision for most

Sport bets can be very cruel! And in long term most of the people lose money. Its very hard to make money in gambling
