Well that certainly looks interesting. Even though I have a few BTS myself, I haven't really been keeping up with the latest developments and while I saw the official announcement thread posted on here, I assumed that the "2.0" bit was just marketing hype.
That being said, a code rewrite - while significant, probably doesn't exactly fit the definition of being a new cryptocurrency. Late 2013 and early to mid 2014 saw the release of numerous new source coins such as NXT, Qora, BitShares, Crypti, NODE, etc. It seems that the flow of new new source coins has dried up recently which is a shame because that is where I believe the most innovation lies.
EDIT: My BTS is currently stored on an exchange. Will I need to withdraw my coins before the switch to 2.0 to prevent losing them?
