Every time a block is mined, a certain amount of BTC (called the subsidy) is created out of thin air and given to the miner. The subsidy halves every four years and will reach 0 in about 130 years.

I mean that there is no real difference. Rand seems better than others but the president represents an executive branch of power so this position requires significant management experience. Rand has legislative experience but I wouldn't be so sure about his abilities to run executive branch of power. Any person who has no sufficient experience in governing is  doomed to be a puppet. That's why some chief executable or former governor would be more preferable in terms of working in the executive office.

I disagree. I feel a chief executive would be worse, as they A: never ran for office, B: Don't know legislation, C: Won't know US legislative process like the senators

C also applies to governors

I begrudgingly like Rand Paul in a thoroughly unimpressive republican field, and Bernie Sanders on the other side for having a principled point. However, neither of them get my vote in the general election, as it's going to Gary Johnson. I do not find acceptable the manipulative ways both democrats and republicans conspire to keep all third parties out of the debates and off the ballots, so I will not be voting for any of their candidates, as it only precipitates the problem. The candidates aren't the biggest problem, it's the two parties and how seek to control the government at all costs.

Voting in a presidential election in the US is pointless, it doesn't matter who wins, we all lose.  The office was bought and paid for by US corporations a long, long time ago, and does nothing to serve its people.

Does Donald Trump have any unironic support? I'm going to view that post to be satire, just like his candidacy, because it makes me feel better about the world we live in.

Prior to Ron Paul getting more libertarian republicans into the GOP, I would've voted for the libertarian party candidate. Assuming Rand makes it as the GOP nominee, I will definitely be supporting him in the general election.

What's Rand's BTC address?

I'll be donating a little more than I can afford to, just like when was running for Senator.  That investment paid great dividends!   Cool

I am not a resident of the United States, so I can't vote in the POTUS elections 2016. That said, if I was an American citizen, my vote would have gone to Rand Paul. He is the only one who respects personal privacy among the major candidates. Also, he is the most pacifist candidate among the bunch. If he gets elected as the POTUS in 2016, the world will be a very peaceful place to live on.

Too bad he will not be the president because the next POTUS will be female.

If you are serious, you can donate right on his website with bitcoin.

Sanders or workers revolution is coming within next four years.

Do you support that, or just see it coming?

I agree. Also, he is very conservative on economic issues, and that is what we need.

Trump all the way! We need a business man to fix the economy not some chick or another bush.

I agree no Killary or Bush, but I think Rand Paul could give Trump a run for his money (pun intented) for being good on economics. Plus Rand has the legislative experience, so my vote goes to rand.

Bernie Sanders would get my vote, seems to be the only sane person on the list though I can't see him becoming prez any time soon.

I agree with some of Rand Paul's views but his stance on abortion/civil rights etc belong in the dark ages.
