To do this all you need is a mobile friendly website where people can input coordinates to hidden metalcoin caches they have placed and a way for them to confirm finding it so nobody else wastes their time on an empty cache location.

This whole system could take maybe an hour to set up excluding the time it takes to convert the website to an app form.

To continue the project on the fast lane is needed to rebuild Metalcoin on Counterparty one of the best project still to be discovered , within it many feature are being developed , like
the application of smart contracts on BTC , enabling lightning network microtransactions so with a low cost fee with the BTC chain , can be made many more transactions without fee and instant like .

I want to  continue Metalcoin project taking the best tech available.
Metalcoin working on counterparty is one of the best options ,
 any existing coin will be exchanged with an equal number of coin built on counterparty starting today.

I have  contacted richiela bittrex to make the exchange painless , if someone can contact him more directly
would be very helpful metalcoin is on counterparty on the Bittrex wallet completed day 22 of August .

For anyone with Metalcoin still in the old wallet i will make possible to exchange manually testing the wallets against the actual chain that has 557018 blocks , this is the actual chain run on bittrex that now stopped, i tested the chain sending Metalcoin to be sure that bittrex and my wallet are in sync on the same blockchain .
The coin are 80 Million plus 340000 (rounded number)
this number can be obtained with the command in the console of the actual wallet.
The number of Metalcoin on counterparty is locked to 80340000 no new coin will be made .

I'm not familiar with how CounterParty works. Is there a physical wallet that can be downloaded? I searched for a wallet but was only able to find their web wallet.

Hopefully there is a hard wallet for it as I do not use web wallets to store any amount of coins for many reasons.

still you wouldn't input the password or private key to send coin, and actually there are 2 server 1 is coindaddy (there are more but not publicly available as the 2 from counterwallet.io), me and you can build our own if you feel more secure this way it need a linux and a pc to compile and you could access it as the only user if you need , as nxt is doing you need a web interface even with their wallet . if i knew better how to use eth i would have used it but i don't feel to risk a DAO incident .

My main issue is the trustworthiness of 3rd party websites. Over the years I've seen countless trusted websites, web wallets, exchanges, etc close down and a lot of people lose their money with no way to get it back. To prevent this from ever happening to me I rarely use exchanges and if I do then my money is only with them temporarily.

For a sort of personal web wallet, this is something I am unable to do as I don't know how to build one and wouldn't be able to keep it secure.

ok no problem if you don't feel like trying it , but any operation with access to the coin on BTC and XCP asset
 is made offline with Armory using the private key and password , after rest only the transaction that can't be remade to steal coins , is like saying you want to rebuild the chain to get coins from someone else without touching his private key or accessing his wallet with his password.
 if you don't feel to create an address from the webwallet page offline , you can use a normal BTC address and you still can access your counterparty assets .
you just need to try or if you need i can do a youtube video so everybody can see how all this is done .
the server/node i was talking about never touch the access to your coin or the private key, but if you are afraid of MITM attacks or that you have a crypto malware in your pc you need to use more Armory and cold wallet than a webwallet for sure.
that fear i can understand and is prevented using armory system and an offline PC, i'm not asking to you to maintain the faucet if you don't feel like it but just to be an owner of Metalcoin from here onward and with this i mean it for GRINZ too.
I hope both of you can understand better the tech and usability that is implementing lightning .
i found a faucet that is giving xcp assets at least the most importants i will see how they work and contact them soon.
