yep, he released it under a license that is specifically designed for this. Also the site went offline nearly a year ago

I use Multibit.
But I have a wallet on my smartphone also. Should I try?

Nearly every wallet can already send funds to a multisignature wallet. If not, just try to use a different one for the moment or ask the creator or the wallet if they can change it fast.
