I was reading a little about it this morning, If I have understood it correct, then is a chain of certificates used, so the author (which is you) have a certificate signed by a root certificate (owned by trustpilot).
Then is your certificate used (with your andriod app) to create the signed message.

I it is pretty obvious to me that the next generation of tags will be able to make a challenge-response message, which open a whole no array of possibilities.

I think there is the URL address shortener too, that is  added in with the signed message ....  When The NFC tag, on the Satoshi Note is scanned, It lands to Papersafe.org   . So if you want to order more you can just tap the tag with a phone or tablet..  I can change that landing page to run promotions or give-aways or send discount codes to previous  customers...  At the present time...The only way to Authenticate the tag is with the blackseal app.  That is how new the tech is. But it is an open standard and will be part of future NFC apps .


The NXP ntag216 NFC tags also  have a password protected area  .  The hardware is there...Just not any apps yet to fully utilize the hardware.

Nice looking site, I see its powered by shopify.  How did you like setting it up through them?  We went through them I so far I am very pleased with how its all setup and managed.

As with any ...there was a small learning curve...But once I got the jist to what was needed and where...Its a piece of cake now .. I wanted to keep things simple...and a lot of the links on the store site link back to bitcointalk.....also a lot of information at my fingertips.... Paypal and  Coinbase handles the CC and bitcoin payments and Shippo which is used to print and pay for Shipping lables all work seamlessly together... I have to thank Mitchell for recommending shopify. It makes online Bitcoin sales a breeze when integrated with Coinbase.

This is an Aluminum card that was lasered with a Satoshi Note image.... I also laminated a blank card to see if it would work.. the one at the top... I also have a few ID Holos left... I could work something out I guess...



Also Laminated Teslin is as solid as plastic...I could Produce a Satoshi Card with a NFC tag inside too ...  This was in the drawing board at one time..

NO I have NOT.......It has to be reversed tho.....Its easy to do ..Just takes a few PITA steps  to set up... ..Create the QR, download ,convert it to Bit image for the laser , import, scan to see it it works .. Its something I would not want to do over and over again.....

I think you spoke too soon .

"Hybrids" (e.g. opened Casascius w/ Lealana hologram, Ravenbit DIY with lasered Papersafe hologram) may become a mini-trend in the future, especially for hardcore collectors. I don't have any short term plans to make additional DIY coins because the market is definitely more interested in the "fully-assembled" versions of my coins, which is understandable from a collector's/speculator's standpoint. However, I could see a scenario where increased demand for hybrids increase demand for my DIY coins. In fact, given the success of my fully assembled Node Bronze coin, I'm surprised an established manufacturer hasn't tried to replicate this success in some way by "hybridizing" a bunch of my DIY coins.
