Hey everyone.

Does anyone have intrest in the U3 Antminer.

If so, then I would like to hear.

I have requested price from a seller and the first price I got was 20$ pr miner.
Will see if that can be lowered if we buy more than 10.

At < $20 I might be interested.  These are perfect to travel with M-Th and use free hotel electricity!

I would be interested IF it can be shipped from the EU (or we can ship from US to EU in bulk for lower shipping costs).

Also, it would be interesting to have a PSU for the U3 included, even for a higher price  Grin

Keep your $20, the U3 is a crap little machine.  Good potential, poor execution.

I would love at least one, I am from the EU, so how would shipping be handled?

Grin Pefect, 2 EU members interested ATM. The more, the merrier...

I'm willing to spend around $50 for 2 U3's (shipping included), or $25 for 1 (shipping included), preferably with the PSU also included (so i don't have to shop around to find a compatible psu)

Btw, witch U3 batch are we talking about?

So, is anything happening?

I was thinking the same thing... Maybe the OP is AFK at the moment, it has only been 4 days, it's vacation time afterall  Grin

In any case: i'd rather have the OP take care of this group buy (i actually don't have the time, nor the BTC to pay for 20 U3's upfront, and then wait for each buyer to receive their U3 to recuperate my BTC from the escrow). BUT if the OP doesn't return and if there are enough ppl from the EU that actually want to group buy an antminer U3 on this thread, maybe we can see if we can buy them ourselfs (only in case the OP doesn't return)...

On Bitmaintech, they cost $20, you have to buy 20 pieces, and the cheapest shipping method to my country inside the EU is UPS ($216.64). Making a grand total of $616.64 for 20 pieces =~ $31/piece + shipping inside the EU. In this case (the most expensive option i presume), our U3's are coming straight from Bitmaintech shipped to our front door, complete warranty and everything  Grin.

I'm sure, if we really try, we can even get them cheaper.... I, for one, wouldn't care if they were second hand, if we buy them from somebody that bought even bigger quantity's, if they were from batch 1 or if we payed somebody going to the US on holliday to bring us back 20 U3's...

Please just NO. The U3 is terrible, but if you are looking for something similar and most likely much better overall; check out Avalons mini https://ehash.com/product/avalon4-mini/ (no price shown yet)

U3 is working fine for me (currently).   One of mine zombies on occasion, but I am 90% certain that it is tied to my power supply.

Are there actual reviews of the Avalon 4 mini?  What is your basis for saying that the Avalon 4 mini is "better"?

Pure speculation at this point in time.  But, based on having a U3 that is more trouble then it is worth that won't connect anymore, and having an Avalon 4.1 that has been the best miner I have owned.  If the Avalon mini is anything like the bigger brother it will be an awesome machine for stability, durability, and efficiency. Price point is the only hindrance I could see the mini having.  All JMO of course.

I really appreciate the input, but like you said, i cannot see a launch date, where to buy one, or a price  for the Avalon4 Mini Sad

The main thing is, i'm a hobbyist, looking for his first asic. I pay .27€/Kwu, so i'll never make ROI. That's why i'm looking for a cheap "toy" to play with, and that's when the U3 came into picture (lets face it, 55Ghs for $20 is dirt cheap).

Now, i'm defenately happy if people give me good alternatives, so i'll keep an eye open for the avalon4-mini.

thanks!

Will not happen because of lack of intrest.
