Newbies, how much bitcoin do you have, and how did you get it?

I got about a few dollars in my wallet. This is mainly from trading, gambling winnings and mining profits. I'm putting together my portfolio and start offering my skills in exchange for bitcoin (IE getting a job).

I started with alts... LTC and DOGE mining with my Mac.  My very first BTC transaction was a purchase of 0.1BTC.  I've obtained quite a bit since then through mining, purchases and services.

it is not dumb to have some LTC    (but forget about all other alts...)

LTC just had a huge jump in price, but doge did too, maybe you shouldnt disregard all the other alts 

Alts are pretty much ignored and shunned, but they're actually pretty good.

It's depends on how the dev manage the coin. There are still a coin which everyone want to get the coin, example: LTC, Namecoin.

This is an interesting topic, you should set a new thread up with a poll so we can more easily see where everyone is. Set the highest amount choice for >2 BTC, to separate out the non-newbies that will inevitably respond even though they aren't new.
